The defendant was convicted of unlaw-
fully carrying a revolver and fined $50
and costa. He was bound •• in two
auretics to keep the peace.

-James Ashton, an English immi-
grant, hired with Fred Mir, a farmer
hying in the township of Ful!arton, a
few days ago. Last week Mthton was

er. Mr. Muir at once drove into Strat-
ford and acquainted the police with the
facts, the result booing that A'bten was
discovered at the station with his ticket

two years in the penitentiary.
