THE BRITISH CATTLE MARKET
Messrs John Swan & Sons' weekly report says:
—The number of fat cattle on offer this week has
been rather smaller. There hail been a better
feeling in the trade, and prices advanced 10e to
15s a bead. Fat sheep have been more plenti-
ful and for these trade, if anything, was Just a
turn in favor of the buyers. For the best de-
scriptions of store eheep and cattle a good de-
mand has been experienced, but secondary quali •
ties are difficult to quit, and part of this lot has
been left unsold.- Milch cows have been a small
show, and they met a slow trade at about last
week's prices. About 650 Canadian cattle wore
gold at Shieldhall, and those meta quieter trade
at less money. Best beef, 8s to 8s 3d; se:ondary,
7s 6d per stone. Beet mutton, 70 to 7R; second-
ary, 51d to 6ii per lb.

TWO MORE GOLD MEDALS.
It must be gratifying to the manufactur-
ere of "Sunlight" Soap to find their goods
so splendidly appreciated in the Canadian
market; and it mnet also be pleasing to
them`to receive the highest recognition at
Canadian Exhibitions for the superior
quality of their soap. At the recent Fall
Shows held at London and Ottawa, "Sun-
light" was awarded a Gold Medal, whioh
brings their gold medal list np to 14. Add-
ed to this grand record is the important
fact that •'Sunlight" is need in Windsor

owing to the excellence of their soap, the
