SOMETHING UNUSUAL,
as a medicine, 'is Dr. Pierce's Medicine
Discovery. And, because of that, there's.
something unusual in the way of selling
it. Where every other - medicine of its
kind only promises, this is guaranteed. 1f
it ever fails to benefit or cure, you have
your money back.
It's the only guaranteed remedy for every
disease caused by a disordered liver or im•
pure blood. Dyspepsia, Billionsuess, the
most stubbcrn Skin, Scalp and Scrofulous
affections, even Consumption (or Lung -
scrofula) i its earlier stages, are all curcd
by it.
It purifies and enriches the blood, rouses
every organ into healthful action, and re-
stores strength and vigor.
For every disease caused by a disordered
liver or impure blood, itis the only guaran-
teed rerriesly. If it doesn't benefit or cure,
in every case, yon have your money back.

A farmer in Greene County,Pennsyloan-
is, hired as his assistant during a busy sea-
son a recent importation from the Emer-
ald Isle. The young man was engaged one
evening, and at the breakfast table next
morning hie employer said:
"Well, Pat, have you had enough break-
fast?" "Oi have sorr," replied"Pat. "Then
now pitch in and eat your dinner," said
the farmer," for we are going to work to-
day at the back end of the farm, and won't
have time to -come to the house to eat din-
ner." Pat resumed his eating, and when
he stopped, his employer asked: "ave you
had your dinner?" "Yis, sor." "Well, we
must put in a good long day to -day; so you
better eat your sapper, too, before we
start." Pat went to work at the eatables,
and finally laid down his knife and fork.
"Had enough supper?" asked the farmer.
"Yis." "Then now we will go to work."
"Worruk, is it?" asked Pat, with a well-
feignedsarprise. "Of coarse," replied his
employer. "Oh, no," replied Pat with a
shake of the head. "Where I kim from we

It would. be interesting to have Sir Leo-
nard Tilley'eS slave on the increaee of our
public debt. '$is prediption of 102 and
the facts are hard to reconcile. There is a
big gap between the net debt of $100,000,-
000 and $241,000,000. Sir John A, Mao-
donald thought it was high time to "call a
halt" in 1890, but since then the gross
amount has risen from $286,000,000 to
$300,000,000; and although the Government
boasts of surpluses every year the debt
growe larger.
RELIEF IN SIX HouRs.—Distressing Kid-
ney and Bladder diseases relieved in six

KIDNEY CURE." This new remedy is a
great surprise and delight to physicians on
account of its exceeding promptnees in re-
lieving pain in the bladder, kidneys, back
and every part of the urinary passages in
male or female. It relieves retention of
water and pain in passing it almost im-
mediately. If you want quick relief and
cure this is your remedy. Sold. by Watts

It looks as if the alleged Government
prosecution of the McGreevy -Connolly
combination, which would take plabe at
Ottawa Assizes in a week or two, would
end in a fiasco. Just as the ease was about
to Dome to trial, John Lambert Payne, the
strenographer who took the evidence before
the Parliamentary committee, and who isa
material witness, was packed off to Australia
with Minister Bowell, and Mr Taylor, one
of the other stenographers, is discovered to
be in England. It will be something re-
markable if the trne Inwardness of theini-
quity is ever fully exposed.

Cures Others
Will cure You, is a true statement of
the action of AYER'S Sarsaparilla,
when taken for diseases originating in
impure blood ; but, while this assertion
is _ true of AYER'S Sarsaparilla, ab
thousands can attest, it cannot be truth-
fully applied to other preparations, which
unprincipled dealers w'll recommend,
and try to impose upon you, as " just as
good as Ayer's." Take Ayer's Sarsa-
parilla and Ayer's only, if you need a
blood -purifier and would be benefited
permanently. This medicine, for nearly
fifty years, has enjoyed a reputation,
and made a record for cures, that has
never been equalled by other prepara-
tions. AYER'S Sarsaparilla eradicates
the taint of hereditary scrofula and
other blood diseases from the system,
and it has, deservedly, the confidence
of the people.
CR'S
Sarsaparilla
" I cannot forbear to express my joy
at the relief I have obtained from the
use of AYER'S Sarsaparilla. I was
afflicted with kidney troubles for about
six months, suffering greatly with pains
in the small of my back. In addition to
this, my body was covered with pimply
eruptions. The remedies prescribed
failed to help me. I then began to take
AYER'S Sarsaparilla, and, in a short
time, the pains ceased and the pimples
disappeared. I advise every young
man or woman, in case of sickness
resulting from impure blood, no matter
how long standing the case may be, to
take AYER'S Sarsaparilla." -H. L. Jar -
mann, 33 William st., New York City.
