rented P. Fergerson's brick store
for the purpose of storing apples
therein.
The Cosgrove Company gave an
excellent entertainment to a large
audience on Monday evening of
this week. They came under the
auspices•of the Foresters.
A meeting of the School Board
was called for Friday evosning of
last week for the purpose of cleoos-
ing a staff of teachers for the con•
ming year, but for want of a quorum
no business was done. A special
meeting will be held on Wednes
day evening of this week.

W. B. Dickson, wife and family
and Miss Kate Cormack left hero
on Saturday of last week for Denver,

their home, Mr. Dickeon's remov-

On Wednesday evening of last
week the Frost & Fanahame troupe
played the "Two Orphans" in the
town hall, Brussels, ender the
auspices of the Band. The audi-
ence was a fair one but the enter-
tainment was considerable of a
fraud.
Wm. Ruddick has purchased the
frame building on the front street
formerly used as a photograph gal-
lery, from Geo. Martin, of Cross -
well, Mich., and intends using it as
a paint shop. He intends erecting
a brick structure on the side
some future day.
The Curling Club has re -organ-
ized for the corning season with the
