DIr. W. Sperling was called to
Brampton last week owing to the

relict of the late George .Sperling,
of Seaforth. She was buried in
Brampton cemetery according to her
own wish. She, withher late hue-
band, was among the first settlers
where Seaforth now stands and
where she resided until the death
of her husband Boma thirty years
ago. lie eold the first town lot on
what is known as the Sperling Sur-
vey, the site where the .Queen's
hotel now stands. Dire. Sperling
.Was widely known by the first
settlers north of Seaforth, hutfdreds
of whom shared her hospitality.
