In the crowd of lucky buyers who secured our $12 line of BLACK WORSTED SUITS at $8. There are still a few left, and they will be closed out this week at $8. As we have 'not all sizes in this line, we will sell any other Suit in stock at a discount of ten per cent. Child's and Boys Clothing, We show a grand range of CHILD'S & BOY'S CLOTHING all bought right and marked at our usual close prices, and this -week -we offer -an. -extra -discount -of-ten_per cent__ Ifyo_ want Clothing, and are interested in saving a few dollars, you cannot afford to let this opportunity go by. BOOTS AND SHOES 1 How is it that so many people buy BOOTS and SHOES from us. Prices and quality must have something to do with it. Buying and selling in large quantities enables tie to get the crearn of what is offered, and hold the prices down. We prefer selling 30 pairs a day at an average profit of ten cents a pair, rather than selling ten pairs at an average profit of 30c a pair. Making heavy sales, and getting cash for all we sell, places us in a position to quote prices that would be ruinous were we doing a smaller business and selling goods on credit. We want your trade, and will make it to your interest to deal with us. L. OUIMETTE, 1.441NTIYHRI3CPIEt CLINTON MARKETS Corrected every Thursday afternoon. THE BRITISH CATTLE MARKET Liverpool, May 9 -States cattle 11c; mar. kets glutted with States cattle, and prices much lower. Prospects for Canadians bad; prices will have to be low. MONTREAL LIVE STOCK MARKETS. At the Eastend Abattoir about 300 head of butchers' cattle, 500 calves and 550 lambs were offered. Cattle were held for higher figures, and although the butchers were out in full force but little trade was doing. A few of the finest beasts were taken by exporters at from 4ic to 5e, and for ordinary butchers' cattle 4.1 was the price. Fair cattle sold at 4c to 4fc and oxen and large bulls at no to 4c, Por lean stook and poor bulls a little over 3e per lb was the figure, with tlae competition very poor at that. Milkmen's strippers were abundant, and sold et from $25 to 540 per head. A good fair average price was 830 to 835 each, or a;bout 3fo per lb. For good calves the demand was brisk, and nearly all were bought up at once, but for com- mon and inferior grades the demand was slim and prices were low in view of the abundance of poor veal offering.
