Rev R. McCosh, ' of Petrolia, and
formerly of Bayfield, has been appoint-
ed pastor of Christ church, Chatham.
The people of that place are to be con-
gratulated on securing so able a man.
ST. PA1DVS CEURCH.--On Sunday
next the services in this bhurch will be
taken by the Key G. R. &Amish, M.
B., of Stratford. At the evening ser-
vice the sermon will be specially for
young men.
In Ontario St chiwoh, on Tuesday
evening, Rev J.E. Howell, of Goderieh,
gave an address on "The Bible a ne-
cessity, and how to use it." The lec-
ture, from beginning to end, was full
of practical suggestions, and ibis to be
regretted that there were not more to
hear it.
On Sunday last Rev Dr Austin, of
Alma Ladies College, preached mission-
ary sermons in Rattenbury St. church;
they were scholarly and instructive
discourses, and the collections taken
up on behalf of the Missionary rund
indicate that the contributions will
