Trade during the past week has been a better. There have been buy- ers from the States, Scotland and the North West. Forty first-class horses were shipped to Mr. S. Cotton, for Glasgow, and a number were pur- chased and shipped to Messrs Burns, Newcombe, Chase and Omen, of Fair field Me., and Bridgeport, Conn. Shipments to Europe have been very heavy this spring, and are likely to continue tair'ough the season. Good horses are in good demand. But for horses of an inferior grade there is no sale.
