Next Week
Liverpool, Now 10.
There were 600 head of Canadian
cattle at Stanley market. Demand
wag very weak, best Canadian steers be-
ing quotable at 11c. Only 500 head
were sold. No Canadian sheep offered.
Quotations are: Finest steers, 110 ;
good to choice, llc; poor to medium,
10c ; inferior and bulls, 70 to 9c.
TORONTO LIVE STOCK MAR•
KETS.
The market for good cattle butchers
shippers and stockers is strong, but
slack in inferior stock, which is still
offered freely but with dull demand.
At the end of the week the shipping
season will be practically ended, and
next Tuesday will probably see the end
of the season's shipping. There was a
fairly good demand for fat exporters,
and a few loads of extra good cattle
changed hands at from 31 to 40. Good
to medium, 3 to 31c, and inferior, 21 to
Sc. Good distillery steers sell up to
Sic, and medium stock at 3 to 3c.
Good butchers' stock was scarce and in
demand at firm prices. Good loads
brought Sic per lb, which was generally
about the highest, paid, although fcr
extra single animals brought as high as
31 to 4c. Medium stock was quoted at
3 and 3.0 per lb. and 3. The few that
are coming- forward are taken up at
easier -prices, and the demand has fallen
off considerably. Very little is being
done in the export trade. The prices
ranged from $4 to $5, although some
extra good animals were taken at from
$5.25 to $5.75.

MONTREAL LIVE STOCK
MARKET
There is no change in the general
situation of the cattle markets. Shipp-
ers claim to be making money on
stockers on the northern Scotch mar-
kets, and advices from Glasgow do not
reveal any change. Locally there is
very little change and business is quiet
as far as exporting is concerned. • The
week practically ends the shipping
season, and in a few days shippers will
be free to sit down and count their
losses or gains. There were no really
good cattle on the market, and 4c per
lb was about the highest price paid,
yet some of the butchers would gladly
pay 4c per lb for prime beeves. Com-
mon and inferior stock were dull at
about former rates, and the large num-
ber of sales to -day were made at from
2i to 3c per lb, though the leaner beasts
brought less than 20 per lb. Mr
Bickerdike bought about a dozen stock-
ers at from 21 to 4o, per lb. There
were no good calves offered to -day, and
prices were from $2.50 to $6 each.
Shippers are still buying sheep at about
Sic per lb, but this week will probably
wind up the shipping trade for this
season. The general prices of lambs
are from $3 to $3.50 each. Butchers'
lambs would bring from $3,50 to $4.25
each, while some of the culls sell at

. CART.
These Carts have long Springs, length ways, back of the axle, underneath the
seat, which gives the passenger an easy motion, also a long spring in front which
takes off the horse motion and the jar when the wheel strikes an obstruction.
They are so constructed as to be perfectly balanced with either one or two pas-
sengers. We also manufacture a PH/ETON ROAD CART for one or
two persons. This is a very neat and stylish cart ; suitable for ladies, physicians
or general purpose. Is light, strong and durable, and is very easy mounted. All
my carts are free from horse motion. In the manufacture of these carts my ob-
ject has not been to produce the cheapest cart in the market, but the most effici-
ent for durability and comfort. The material of which they are constructed be-
ing of the choicest quality. We guarantee them to be satisfactory in all respects.
Persona wishing to try them and see how they ride, are at liberty by calling at
my shop. We also manufacture and keep in stock BUGGIES, WAGGONS
and CUTTERS. Repairing of all kinds done with neatness and despatch.
