so scarce, and so hard to make.. In these
modern: days, hdwever, it 3s possible to
make cherry jelly easily and with cer-
tainty of success; You simply add bot-
tled fruit:•pectin, thus making up for Na -
tare's lack. Try this cli'erry jelly recipe
and "be delighted.

3 •cups (1.16 lbs;) juice

1 bottle fruit pectin
7'o prepare juice; stem and crush 3
pounds fully ripe cherries. Do not pit..
Add 1t 'dap water, ; bring to a boil, cover;
and sifii4iser 10 minutes. (For stronger
cherry flavor, add . % teaspoon almond
extract before pouring). Place fruit in
jelly cloth or bag and squeeze out Juice.
Measuresugarand juice'inta large
saucepan and mix. Bring to a boil aver

stirring.,corstanily. then bring to a full
rolling boil and bell harm le minute. Re-
move froth fire, slam, pour quickly. Par-
