OBITUARY FIiASER.—*T'he death of Miss Mary Millar Fraser last Wednesday carne with surprising suddenness, as she was ill for only a few hours, being taken with an acute attackof bilious- ness during the night. Miss Fraser was Hauch beloved byall who knew her and will be much missed by her sisters -and the wider . circle of pees quaintances. She was a member. of Knox church and was much interested in the work of various of the organi- zations . of the church. ,:She was a member of the choir some years ago, the leaders of song in Knox church at that time being all soloists and her talent was very gladly given in the choir, as a Sunday schoolteacher and as a member of the W. M. S.' Miss Fraser was the eldest daughter of the late Donald Fraser, for many yeare. deputy registrar of Huron county, end Mrs. Fraser. She was born in Ham- ilton but the '.family moved 'to' God©- richwhen she was quite young. Two brothers are deceased, Dr. S. John Fraser, of Detroit, and Roderick Mil- lar Fraser, for years of the firm of Fraser and Porter, Goderieh, and one brother, George A. J. Fraser, of Cali - feriae. and, the two sisters at erne, Miss Eike S.;Frd#ox and Maio Maggie D:, survive. The funeral was held an. Saturday last, the services being con ducted by Rev. R. C. Cook at his home in Clinton on Wed- nesday, June 114, a very highly esteemed resident of the Township of Goderieh, in which he resided fur about half a century, before moving' to Clinton a few months ago, has pas- sed to his reward, Mr. Cook was an • Anglican, in religion and a Conserva- tive' in polities and during his long - residence in this part of the country earned a high place in the regard of all who knew him.. He had not been in the best of health for sonic time and was in hie 78th year, but it .was the effects of a fall which he sustain- 'ed the previous Thursday resulting in a fractured rib, that caused his death. Mr. Cook was born in Suffolk, Eng- land, and came to Canada in the year 1875. A year later he: was married to Miss Sarah Spreadbury, to whom he was betrothed in the • old country and who canoe to Canada in 11174. !fhey made their home in t.;oderieh township until last :November, when they „moved to Clinton.
