A Disastrous Fire
Fire completely destroyed the Ito ie
of Christopher Parker, situated ' on. .
the Bruceffeld road, near Bayfield re-
cently. Mr. and Mrs. Parker had
,gone for a walk to the woods. rive
children aged from sixteen months to
twelve years, Were in the house and
they gave the alarm when they dis-
covered the roof was on fire, having
caughtfrom sparks from the chim-
ney. The house being an old frame
'building, it burned very rapidly.

The death took place in Exeter. en
Saturday, May 1Sth, of Mrs. William
Collingwood, who passed away/at the
age of 71 years and 6 months. The
deceased Mal been ailing for the past

maiden name was Elizabeth Grace'
Welsh. She was a resident of the'
community practically all her life,'
having been born in the township of
Stephen. Thirty years ago with her
husband std mily .they moved to
