Mr. John Morrison, for a number
of years.a well known and respected
resident of Seaforth, passed away at
the home of itis son, Mr. James Mor-
rison, llth concession of McKillop,
on Wednesday morning of last week
in his 81st year. Mr, Morrison was
one of the early settlers in the town-
ship of McKillop, where be farmed
extensively and very successfully for
the greater part of his life. In his

Mr. Ralph Elliott, 'Of Seaforth, a
well-known, resident, passed away

He was the second son of the late
Mr. Wm., Elliott, one of the pioneer

where he was born in 1855 and where
his life was spent until he moved to

The township council met on May
3rd. A resolution from Colborne
council favoring a six cent tax on
gasoline for motor cars and a redue-
tion in license fee was read and left
for the reeve to deal with et the
county conned. A statement and
at 10 a.m. Supt. Emmerson's ac-
count of ;23.40 was ordered paid. It
was also decided to appoint petrol.
