At the district meeting of the
Lions Clubs- of District A (which
eludes Ontario and .Quebec) held in
London on Wednesday, Sept. 24th, re-
presentatives were present from Mon-
treal, Ottawa, Toronto, St. Cathar-
ines, Hamilton, London, Strathroy
Windsor, Goderich and Wingham.
A program of extension is mapped
out and Lion Arthur Brookwell, an
organizer, who was present, was able
to report several new clubs on the
way, including clubs at- Sault Ste
Marie and Sudbury. In his addrese
at the banquet in the evening Inter-
national President Harry NeWunkil
forecasted not only further organiza-
tion in Ontario and Quebec, but in
the Maritime Provinces and in tht
Provinces of the West. He else
spoke of the extension of the-organi-
tation in Great Britain which was
proposed. This had been deferred
for , some years, as 4t had been
thought better to allow the old coun-
