"They get that le ss - harried look", he says, "be- cause that darn old bridge we've had to put up with is gone at last and we've got a decent one now." "How's that", we asked. "Well", he said, "they don't get into a rotten temper going through the congestion at the corner and they don't feel they have to rush about on Main Street to get out again before the traffic gets worse". Perhaps, then, Griff, with the new traffic lights, the situation will get even more organized and everyone a little bit more calm and col- lected? "No", he said, "they'll come right down the street madder than blazes after waiting for the blinking light to change and for some wo- man driver to make up her mind whether she can make a left turn or not." But we do notice more families in The Bend this year. Orval Wassmann is one that agrees with this opinion. Charity is infinitely di- visable.
