AMERICAN MONEY Most
business places in Grand
Bend and in the rest of
'Ontario for that matter,
will pny seven percent on
Americnn funds. Other es
tnblishments pey only
five percent. BAnks pny
somembet more than seven
percent,depending on the
dnily exchnnge rate. IF
YOU ARE TRAVELLING ON WE
WEEKENDS ONLY, when the
banks ere not open, then
it is easier for you if
you get Canedien funds be-
fore you arrive in Cnnada.
MOTORBIKES - We've had to
stop talking about Hondns
for this year there am.e
also Ynmahas, and various
other bikes being ridden.
Remember that these vehic-
les though more fun than
cnrs, are licenced, and
must be ridden with ell
attention to the traffic
laws that you would obey
if you were riding in n
car,
Please don't be noisy.
The villnge folk take a
dim view of this - and so
by the way, do the police
force. If you ment to be
a nuisance, remember that
you may be inconvenienced
by a fine, or some such
bother. Be considerate.
EATING - Make your owl
choice. Grand Bend end
Area has over 30 enting
establishments of varying
types. In other words,you
can eat three menls a day
for ten days, and not
hnve to go back to the
same place twice. So ex-
periment. Ent well, and
have fun.
Remember these things:
* No dogs on the beach
* No dogs running loose
Your pampered pet may be
a problem for others. And
on the beach -- mell,dogs
are apt to do what comes
naturally, and this is

Other folks like to sleep
even if you don't - and
there are laws about dis-
turbing their peace.
Remember that if you
are having trouble find-
ing something, someone,
or even your own exact
location - don't hesitate
to ask someone. There is
almays the Information

ner, open daily
For that matter,anyone
in business in Grand Bend
can be expected to be
courteous and smiling.We
have a, slogan round here
that goes: "SMILE, you're
in Grand Bend."
Travelling to London?
It is the nearest city,
and makes a good one -day
jaunt from Grand Bend.
Try travelling by way
of the Nairn gravel road.
It isn't gravel, but well
paved, and not heavily
travelled. You get on it
just the other side of
Pnrkhill, after you go
out of town on Highway 81.
This route brings you out
on Highway 22, just a hop
away from the cornea. of
Highway 4, and then you
are right there.
This also lets you avoid
the re -construction on
Highway 4, which is well
along, but involves earth
movers, and mud, and men
with stop or slaw signs
to compliQate matters.

MAKE
RESERVAllONS
EARLY!
There is usually some
place to sleep in Grand
Bend -but if you went a
place with a swimming
pool, or a spot with oth-
er special things, then
make your reservations
early for your vacation
so you won't be disap-
pointed.
This is true of other
spots you plan to go, as
well, No matter haw big
a resort is, nor haw much
they went to serve you,
there is only so much
room available, and that's
that.
Start early. Drive with
care. Enjoy yourself. And
come back soon.
