Mr. W. d'. Wilson, shoemaker, has
been confined to his bed for. the past
few days, but we hope to hear of his
speedy recovery.
Dr, Hutohtnson,,of this place, is re-
moving to Dungannon, but will ,.con-
tinue to keep an office here. Since the
teeter came to reside here, he has built
up a large practice, but bad to remove
Ms family to Dungannon on account of
not being able to get a. home in which
to reside,' He is a good practitioner,
and we hope this move will further in-
crease bib business. '

A GRAND• Succuss. -Mrs, Miller's
social on. Monday. night was very, large-
ly attended. The ` evening was spent
in the usual games; singing, dm. . Ali
were liound.to enjoy themselves. In
one room we bad music on the concer-
tina, and in' another " Orions" trkks,
°Where and old men'e jokee, and in
the .other n :variety of amusing .games
interspersed with music. Besides, our
local talent, Miss Depew, of Chathain,
sang endplayed .a number of pieces in
excellent style. The- charades by a
number of the young people, were
highly amusing, especially to our pas.
and teas. The gathering broke up in
the " large" hours after having spent a
very pleasant evening. - _ _

Huliett B, B. Society met in the
Methodist burgh on last Friday and
although the weather and roads were
very unfavourable, there was a larger
turn out than for manyyears, Those who
did come were wellrepaid in listening
to the instructive and pleasing address
of the Rev. Mr, Matthews on the work
clone. and being «one ,by the British
Foreign Bible Society.

place seems to be doing well. The
meetings are held regularly, and goner
ally a good.number out, and some good
entertainment every night, There are
a great matey in the village -and neigh-
borhood whowould be greatly benefit'-
ed.in•more than one way by uniting
