:Canada's Wheat Product.
Bradstreets recently gave some very
interesting figures concerning the wheat
crep.of the Dominion. A synopsis of
returns collected; this fall in Qubeo,
Ontario'andi Manitoba, compared with
those of the two preceding •years, gives
this result•:—

It also appears that spring wheat
Las net been extensively sown this
yewr, and that fall wheat was very gen-
erally substituted for it, Generalising,
dearly one-half. the reports place winter
wheat above an Average 'crop, while
only 8 per cent, of the returns make it
under the average.. Regarding spring
wheat, the small amount grown shows
a yield averaging high and a harvest
gathered . under favorable conditions,
although the present Wireatcrop•..of Can-
ada has never been surpassed in quality
and quantity.
The surpluses of Canadianwheat for
this year and the three preceding are
approximated as follows; •

The surplusage of 1881 points to a
yield of wheat thinseasonin Quebec and
Ontario of 25,000,000. The good har-
vest is apparently not due, to extended
planting,as the acreage in the two sec-
tions has not been materially increased.
Our acreage there of 100,000 acme
yielding in round numbers 300,000
