But two facts are certain, viz : his deep indignation on readine Livermore's mesaage, and his ul- timate censent to Clara's marriage with Lymae Palmer, the man of her choice. So much for the clever disenchantment anti the verifivation of Clara Townley's favor- ite maxim, '• Where there's a will there's a vaay. ' • Mark Twain's Horse. Mark Twain sayer of his horse. His, old school -fellow, Luke Harmer, who started even with Mr. Gladstone in the race of life, has fallen a good deal behindLand a week or two ago Le was an' applicant for an office, as Gladstone has often been be- fore him, though the office that Harmer sought had nothine todo with the Cebinet, being much moreP'humble, viz.—that of Porter at the Ornaskirk Workhouse.
