The Board hits purchased a new
piano to be used in teaching of
music. Mrs. Phyllis Rogers and
Mr. Roy Consitt received wall mir-
rors as gifts from the pupils.

School Section No. 4, McKillop
Sphool, was filled to capacity Fri-
day night for the Innual Christ-
mas concert.
A highlight of the evening was a
draw for an electric tea kettle,
won by Miss Catherine Campbell;
a large wall mirror, won by El-
liott Walters, and a table lamp by
Mrs. Ea•• Kressler; Stratford.
The winning tickets were sold
by Linda Papple, Marguerite Scott
and Miss Arlene Diegel, teacher
at the school. They each received
a silver dollar. Marguerite Scott
received an extra dollar for sell-
ing the most tickets, 234 in all.
Gordan Papple was chairman
and Mrs. John Henderson, 'pianist.
The program was as follows: Wel-
come song and recitation by Jim-
my Henderson; chorus, "Reindeer
Sells" and "Dance, Mr. Snow-
man"; monologue by Donna Gor-
don, "The Unsolicited Speaker";
play, "Spring Cleaning," with Mar-
guerite Scott, Elsie Doig, Linda

came to a close with the Nativity
scene and recitation by Jane
Shannon. Before Santa arrived,
the children sang, "Try To Mix
Our Size With Sunshine" and "Jin-
gle Bells."
The pupils presented Miss Die -
gel with a lovely dresser set. Mr.
Howard James was present and
made a recording of the program.
On Saturday morning the children
were present at the school to hear
the -program they had presented
the night before.
THIS WEEK
MRS. EDGAR McQUEEN
HENSALL. - Mrs. Edgar Mc-
Queen, resident of Ilensall all her
life, died suddenly at South Hur-
on Hospital, Exeter, on Saturday
morning, where she had been tak-
en a few hours earlier by ambu-
lance. She was born in Hansell,
the "former Lucy Humestone, and
was 70 years of age.
She - was a- member of Hensel]
United Church, holding several
Pittner important offices' in the
Viomen's Missionary Society, and
was treasurer for many years of
the Hensall-Exeter Weinen's Chris-
tian Temperance Anion,
