word Tuesday that her brother,
Mr. James Campbell, of Cobourg,
had been instantly killed Monday
in a train -truck accident.

OBITUARIES
RICHARD H. PECK
BAYFIELD. — Funeral services
for the late Richard Henry Peck,
Bayfield, were conducted on Mon-
day afternoon, October 31, at the
Ball and Mutch funeral home, High
Street, Clinton, by the Rev. Wil-
liam Coleman, Toronto. Interment
was in Bayfield cemetery.
Pallbearers were Elgin Porter,
William Johnston, Thomas Foster,
Alfred Westlake, George Little
and Douglas Varty.
Born in Stanley Township, on
May 6, 1880, Richard H. Peck was
the son of Henry Peck and Emily
Clark. He married Marie Dalry-
mple in 1906, and they lived in
London for 40 years. Ile was a
salesman with Mason & Risih
Piano Company, Toronto.
He also had lived in Seaforth
and Toronto. Mr. Peck had been
ill for two years, and succumbed
to a fatal attack of coronary
thrombosis on Saturday, October
19, in his 78th year.
He was identified with the Je-
hovah Witnesses.
Surviving besides his widow are
two daughters, Grace and Mrs.
Douglas (Audrey) Varty, Bay-
field; two brothers, Wesley and
Arthur, Bayfield; three sisters,
Mrs. F. W. (Ellen.)' McEwen and
Mrs. Edward (Charlotte) Snell,
Bayfield and Mrs. Elton H. (Mar-
garet) Snell, 'Detroit.

Vancouver, who. have visited sev-
eral weeks- with Mrs. Cudmore's
brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Wilfred Mellis, and other' rel-
atives, left for their home on Mon-
day.
Sunday service at St. Andrew's
United Church was well attended.
Rev. McMillan was in charge of
the service. He chose for his ser-
mon subject, "Home and the Com-
ing Generation, Baptismal ser-
vice was -given 'the infant daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. John Moore;
infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith
Love, and infant ,daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Murray Dalton.
Mrs. Phillip McKenzie is confin-
ed to Victoria Hospital, London, in
the interest of her health.
Miss Dorothy Reinke, of Hamil-
ton, was a recent guest of Mr. ,and
Mrs. Stanley Jackson and .family.
Mr. ,Joe Lostell is a patient in
Scott Memorial Hospital, Seaforth.
Mr. Samuel Cudmore had a very
successful sale Saturday and left
Saturday evening to live in Lon-
don with his son and daughter-in-
law, ,Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Cud -
more.
Mr. and Mrs. Perkins and two
children, of Centralia, will reside
in Mr. Cudmore's house on Nov. 4.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Jackson
and Dorothy visited a few days
recently with Mr. and Mrs. Ev-
erett Harper, of Unionville.

thur Anderson is a patient in Scott

the flu, so twenty-eight pupils in
her room are enjoying a few more
days holidays.
Mrs. Donald MacDonald took the
service in Carmel Church last
Sunday morning for her husband,
Rev. D. MacDonald, who is il
with the flu. Mrs. MacDonald,. a
returned missionary from India,
spoke on Mission work. The choir
contributed a selection.
