KELLY—AUSTIN
Northside United Church, Sea -
forth, was the setting for the wed-
ding of Alice Mary Austin and
Wilmer Francis Kelly. The bride is
the daughter of Mrs.' Catherine
Austin, Seaforth, and the late Al-
bert Austin. M. and Mrs. Mich-
ael Kelly, Brucefield; are the par-
ents of the groom. The Rev. John
W. Stinson, of London, officiated.
Given in marriage by her broth-
er, Donald Austin, of Kitchener,
the bride chose a white waltz -length
gownof lace and net featuring a
small collar and long lily -point
sleeves. Her elbow -Length veil
was held by a coronet headdress,

boro, as maid of honor, was dress-
ed in mauve taffeta. The brides-
maid, Miss Marlene Austin, Flint,
Michigan, chose a yellow chiffon
dress. Barbara Longstaff, Sea -
forth, was flower girl.
Clifford Spurin, Barrie, was the
groomsman, and Robert Speir ush-
ered.
For a wedding trip to Nashville,
Tenn., the bride donned a flowered
pink dress. The couple will live
in Seaforth.
Friends Honor
Josephine Mclver -
Miss Josephine McIver, whose
marriage takes place this mpnth,
was recently honored at a shower
held by Mrs. C. P. Sills and Miss
Mary Lou Sills, an afternoon tea
at the home of Mrs. F. J. Bechely,,
and a trousseau tea given lay her
mother, Mrs. Peter McIver. A post
rehearsal party was held by Mrs.
F. J. Bechely at her summer resi,
dence in Bayfield.
Among the activities held in To-
ronto for Miss McIver were a
sherry party by Mrs. E. S. Coffin,
an afternoon tea by the staff of
Blessed Sacrament School, a din-
ner at La Chaumiere •by Miss Lor-
etta Dopfer, and a presentation by
the children of Blessed Sacrament
School.

Mrs. John Kell and Mrs. George
Hall, bridesmaids. They were.
gowned alike in waltz -length.

over taffeta with bouffant skirts
and • shirred, fitted bodice anc1
necklines extending into flowing
twin panels at the back. They wore
matching blue picture hats, trim-
med with velvet, and carried cas-
cade •bouquets of, pink roses and.
whit chrysanthemums.
Th groom was attended by Don-
ald Fraser and the ushers were
John Kell and Floyd Jenkins.
At the reception at "The Ridge
Inn", the bride's mother received
in delphinium blue silk organza,
accented with white accessories
and a corsage of pink .roses and
white carnations, The groom's
mother wore pink and white print-
ed nylon sheer, with white acces-
sories and corsage of pink carna-
tions.
For travelling, the bride chose a
periwinkle blue linen suit' with
white accessories and corsage of
sweetheart roses. The young cou-
ple left to spend a short honey-
moon in the Adirondacks and Lake
Placid. On their return they will
live in Burford.

and traditional long sleeves end-
ing in points over the hands'. Her
finger-tip veil of tulle illusion was
held in place by a lace embroider-
ed cap trimmed with seed pearls.
Her jewellery was a string of
pearls and tiny pearl earrings and
she wore white brocaded shoes.
Her flowers were an arm bouquet
of red roses.
Miss Angela Simones, 191 Fergu-
son Drive, was maid of honor and
wore a sea. green waltz -length
dress of nylon lace over taffeta,
with a full skirt and scalloped
neckline of nylon chiffon. She wore
a white fabric flowered headdress
with nylon gloves and white bro-
caded shoes. Her flowers were a
Colonial bouquet of yellow roses
and baby white 'mums.
The bridesmaids were Miss Shar-
on Caldwell, 30 Charles St., sister
of the bride, and Miss Beverley
Easton. 61 Hubbell St., cousin of
the bride, who wore respectively
yellow and pink nylon over taffeta
dresses, styled similarly to that of
the maid of honor. They also wore
fabric flowered headdresses, white
nylon gloves and white brocaded
shoes. Their flowers were Colonial
bouquets of yellow,,,roses and white
baby 'mums, and pink roses and
white 'mums.
Wayne Ellis; of Seaforth, was
groomsman, and the ushers were
Ken Greig, of Toronto, and Rene
Lauzon. of Cornwall.
After the ceremony, a reception
was held 'at the home of the bride's
phrents, 30 Charles St., where a
buffet luncheon was served. As-
sisting in receiving the 75 guests
were the bride's mother, Mrs. G.
Caldwell, wearing a beige duster
and dress with panama and navy
accessories, and the groom's moth-
er, Mrs. G. Muir, wearing pink
taffeta with beige and pink acces-
sories.
Travelling by motor, the bride
and groom left on a wedding trip
to Buffalo, Detroit, Cleveland, Erie
and various points throughout the
United States and Canada. For
going away, the bride changed to
a beige and white checked dress
and duster, with panama accessor-
ies.
Upon their return they have tak-
en up residence at 131/2 Lefebrve
Ave., Cornwall, the groom being
employed in that city by the On-
tario Hydro, as a surveyor.
Guests were present from Sea -
forth, Toronto, Galt, Prescott,
Cornwall, Montrehl and Perth.
