for his two boys, Terry and Randy.
Terry, all of five years old;awas
driving, and had his express wag-
on hooked on behind and had Ran:
dy and his ebum, Dougie Telford,
as passengers. They pulled up to
the gas pumps and said quite
proudly, "Fill her tilt," and "she"
took all of six cents worth of gas.
After driving around the pumps
a couple of times, much to the
amusement of the spectators, they
struck off on the long journey
home, all of a half block away and
parked "her" at Grandad Walter
Westlake's Garage.
Needless to say, their Dad was
walking alongside of them. We
wonder who is getting the biggest
kick out of 'it, "Bev" or the boys?
Congratulations, Bev., on this fine
piece of work.
Garage Entered
About $25 in silver and a small
quantity of cigarettes were stolen
when thieves brake into the Im-

day and Sunday morning. Entry
was gained by breaking a small
window at the rear of the build-
ing. The thieves then- broke into
the office and looted the cash reg-
ister and left by the front door.

(By FRANKLIN C. BRYANS)
The longest week of the term
has come to an end. This week ,
of worry, anticipation and cram -1
ming, is the so-called period of
examinations. It is a week of stiff
fingers and blood -shot eyes, which
is usually accompanied by mental
suppression like "frazzled" nerves
from overwork, or a feeling of
guilt from underwork. Some stu-
dents have lost their conscience,
but for those who have not, -many
resolutions are being made in ad-
vance of the New Year.
Then the results come back!
There are many silent curses and
sighs of despair or relief, but al-
ways there will be a deserving
fortunate who is well satisfied by
his marks.
It is seldom one scores higher
than expected, but too often one
scores less.
From that fact we can derive
an equation which disagrees en-
tirely with the new idea: "What
will be, will be!"
Homework Classwork + In-
telligence divided by Interest H -
Ambition, equals Net Result.
Students' Council
Cheer up! It's the festive sea-
son! The Students' Council is plan-
ning a Christmas dance for Thurs-
day night, Dec. 20. There will be a
special treat. We are going to
break all "records" and have an
orchestra. Everyone will enjoy
dancing under the mistletoe with
the delightful strains of Bill Stu -

ergreen -scented air. So, let's ev-
eryone enjoy the greatest school
dance yet, and also the last dance
of the year—the Christmas dance
of 1956.
The following afternoon the Stu-
dents' Council presents the annual
Christmas party. Each class will
supply 5-10 minutes entertainment.
Each boy must bring some home-
made candy (not necessarily made
by himself), Each girl is required
to bring about one-half dozen cook-
ies.
A "theme" is needed for the
decorating of the formal. Anyone
with an idea, please submit it to
your form rep.. or place it in the
suggestion box in the hall.
