ST. LEDGER DURDIN
There passed away Monday night
in Scott Memorial Hospital, follow-
ing a month's illness, St. Ledger
Durdin, in his 79th year. Born in
Delaware, when a young man he
went to Truro, N.S., where he lived
for 45 years. Before coming here
he had lived at Hamilton for two
years. He was an honorary life
member of the Orange Lodge.
Surviving besides his wife, the
former Anna Rankin, of Stellar -
ton, N.S:; are three daughters:
Mrs. Norman MacPherson, Hamil-
ton; Mrs. Fern La Londe, Toron-
to; Mrs. Eric Milner, Seaforth;
one brother, Clifford Durdin, Lon-
don; and one sister, Mrs, Barbara
Whyte, in Manitoba. He is also
survived by six grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.

The November meeting of the
directors of the Hullett Federation
of Agriculture was held Thursday
evening in Londesboro Commun-
ity Hall. As this was the last meet-
ing of the year. they treated them-
selves to .a turkey supper. Follow-
- ing the meeting the evening was
spent in playing progressive
euchre. The high lady was Mrs .I
Lloyd Pipe; low lady was Mrs..
Percy Gibbings, and the high man
was Emerson Hesk.

Srimes. Mrs. Elgie is in her 92nd
year and is still active and enjoy-
ing life.

Wayne, Mich., enroute home from

Toronto. Son of a well-known Eg-
mondville school teacher and for-
mer Huron County Clerk, Mr. Hol-
man left here 55 years ago. and it
is 26 years since he was last in
Seaforth.

quoise hat and gloves and corsage
of deep rose carnations. The cou-
