THE LARGE THREE. -STOREY- BRICK BUILDING, which
will provide complete storage facilities and headquarters for
Henderson Started Chicks Limited, is shown here. The office •
accommodation is located on the ground floor, to the right of the
picture. Long a familiar sight, the completely rebuilt plant is
located on the main road on the outskirts of Seaforth, conveni-
ent to the public. The present Henderson plant, providing ac-.
commod`ation for . 30,000 chicks, will continue to be operated.

son Started' Chicks Limited
has made certain that every-
one who is present on Friday
and Saturday has a pleasant
time.
There are going to be free
refreshments and draws for
valuable door prizes. The op-
en house continues through
Friday and Saturday until 9,
o'clock each evening.
.The top door prize is a clock
radio, and this will be drawn
at closing time Saturday eve-
' ning. In addition, there will be
other draws for valuable priz-
es on Friday evening, as well
as on Saturday evening. •

BAYFIELD NEWS OF THE WEEK
Mr. Ken Scotchmer underwent
an appendectomy operation in
Scott Memorial Hospital, Seaforth,
on Sunday.
Mrs. Glen Sturgeon, of Guelph,
was home over the weekend.
Mrs. Milvena Irwin and Sandra
Robbie moved to Kincardine,
where they will make their home.
Miss Joan McCallum and friend,
of Detroit. visited over the''Week-
end with..,her parents on board
their yacht, Verne II.
Miss Mildred Fraser. London,
was with her parents. Mr. and
Mrs. J. Fraser, over the long week
end.
Mr. and Mrs. H. Weston; Roy
and Suzanne. of Ferndale, Mich.,
were at "The Batch" over the
weekend,
Mr. and/ Mrs. W. Stewart and
Bill. of Windsor, have had Mr• and
Mrs. W. Fleming. Toronto. as their
guests this past week at their cot-
tage. Both families returned
home on Monday.
Mr.. and . Mrs. ,Charles Parker
and Bonnie. of Weston. were"at
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Parker's over
the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown Higgins
have returned home after a vaca-
tion at Haliburton. Mrs Higgins
also spent a month in Brantford.

OPEN HOUSE ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY
Complete in every detail and
designed to provide a new service
for district poultrymen and farm-
ers, Henderson's Started Chicks
Limited will open its new head-
quarters on Friday, morning. A
short ceremony, which will in-
clude the cutting of a ribbon
across- the entrance by E. Cardiff,
M.P., will feature the occasion.
The three -storey -building, on the
southern outskirts of ' Seafgrth,
long a lemiliar site•, has been
completely converted for its pres-
ent use. Built originally to house
the Van Egmond Woollen Mills, it
has served in the intervening
years as headquarters for a tex-
tile mill, and more recently as a
flax' mill.
• Handsome office accommodation
is provided on the ground floor,
where an imposing entrance has
been constructed. Also ..on the
ground floor are refrigerated egg
storage facilities and alaboratory,
where problems affecting poultry
flocks will be dealt with.
The remainder of the ground
floor providesextensive storage
capacity.
Upper floors provide additional
stage capacity so that adequate
sup lies will be always on hand
as required.
In addition to cafeteria feed mix-
tures .of various kinds, the firm
will handle a full. line of poultry
equipment. A special service will
be the wholesale "egg department,
which will handle eggs for through
shipment to the Toronto market.
Production problems that arise
from time to time in poultry
flocks can be aided through the
special clinical service which will
be a feature of the enlarged Hen-
derson operation.
Barry Doak, formerly of the Dr.
Salsbury organization, will have
the responsibility to provide a
clinical service on all types of
pqultry. As in the past, the Hen-
derson firm will continue to pro-
vide a consultant service on feed-
ing and management of livestock
and poultry.
• As a feature of the open house,
a large display of poultry 'equip-
ment will be arranged. One of the
newly -developed pieces of equip-
ment, which • will be on display,
will be double -deck cages for lay-
ers.
As a convenience to customers,
Henderson Started Chicks will re-
main open each Saturday night
until 9 o'clock.

Mr. Robert Davison, of Toronto,
spent the weekend with his par-
ents, Rev. and Mrs. S. Davison.
Mr. and Mrs. Davison have re-
turned from their holiday, and Mr.
Davison occupied the pulpit in the
United Church on Sunday morn-
ing.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Burdge and
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Leppington spent
a •few days last week in Toronto
and attended the C.N.E.
Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson
and family have moved to Sea -
forth. •
Mr. and Mrs. Vidor Hargraves
spent the weekend in Ingersoll with
Mrs. Hargraves' parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Henderson. Mrs. Henderson
left on Sunday on a trip to Eng-
land.
Mr. T. A. -Dutton received word
on Saturday that his father had
passed away in England as the re-
sult of a fall.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Paterson left
on Sunday for a few days holi-
days up north on a fishing trip.
Miss Linda Cribbon, of Toronto,
spent a few days visiting her aunt,
Mrs. A. Paterson, last week.
Mr. James McDonald had the
misfortune to have his best cow
killed by lightning.
Mr. Hugh McGregor, of Detroit,
spent last week with his sisters in
Brucefield •and Stanley.
