JAMES K. BRUCE
MITCHELL -A largely attended
funeral service was held Monday
afternoon, August 13, at 2:30, for
James K. Bruce, of Fullarton,
who died Saturday at Stratford
General Hospital, in his 81st year.
The body was at the Heath funeral
home, Mitchell, where Rev.- J.
Robert • Watt, of Main St. Unite
Church, officiated. Mrs. Edward
Gilck presided at the organ and
accompanied Mrs, T. W. Heath,
who sang, "Beyond the Sunset"
The pallbearers were Lorne Har-
mer, Roy Reed, Nelson Baker, An-
thony Gettler, William PelIinf,
Ernest . Waddell, and the flower -
bearers were Hartley 'Davis, Dav-
id Davis, William Reed and E. G.
Hoffmeyer, all of Fullarton. Burial
was, made in Woodland cemetery,
Mitchell.
Those attending the funeral were,
from Brant, Alta., Toronto, Strat-
ford, Seaforth, Mitchell, Fullarton
and district.

KENNICOTT. - Funefal service
for Mrs. John J. Connolly, who
died late Tuesday afternoon, Aug.
7, at her home in Logan Township,
was held on Saturday, The body
was at her late home until Satur-
day morning, when Solemn High
Mass of Requiem was celebrated
in St. Brigid's Church, Kennicott,
at 10:30 a.m., by Rev, Stephen
Toth, assisted by Rev. E. Veiten-
heimer; of La Salette, and Rev.
Dr. Ffoulkes, of Dublin. Rev. R.
McHugh, of . Hamilton, a cousin of
the deceased, was also present in
the Sanctuary. Miss Elizabeth Con-
nolly presided at the organ. There
was a large number of friends
and relatives present.
The pallbearers were nephews:
Lawrence Connolly, Logan Town-
shi; John P. Connolly and Patrick
Connolly, Mitchell; Michael Mc-
Laughlin, Dublin; Jerome McNa-
mara, London, and Paul McNa-
mara,
made in St. Vincent de Paul cemetery, Mitchell, with Rev. R. McHugh officiating.Those attending the funeral werefrom Detroit, Windsor, Toronto, LaSNIEtte, Crystal Beach, Hamilton,Woodstock, London, Goderich, Mitchell and district.

Given marriage by her father
the bride ,wore a floor -length gown
of Swiss embroidered nylon Mlle
over slipper satin, styled with a
Sabrina neckline with fitted bodice
and long lily -point' sleeves. The
bouffant skirt was accented with
panels of embroidery. Her French
illusion veil was held by a half
crown, and she carried a cascade
bouquet of white orchids, Pinocchio
pompoms and stephanotis. ,
Mrs. William Hayden, Toronto,
attended her sister as matron of
honor, and bridesmaids were Miss
Patricia Duggan, Stratford; cou-
sin of the bridegroom, and Mrs. F.
J. Vere, R.R. 5, Stratford. All wore
identical waltz -length gowns of
coral crystalette over taffeta with
matching picture hats. They car-
ried cascade boucluets of white
Shasta chrysanthemums.
Jerrie Downey, London, cousin,
of the bridegroom, was best man,
and ushers were Mike Gornyiczki,
Louis McIver, brother of the bride,
and Robert Marran.
The bride's mother received in
blue -grey lacette with navy acces-
sories and a corsage of pink roses.
For travelling the bride donned
a turquoise linen duster oVer a fig-
ured sheath dress, with navy ac-
cessories and a corsage of pink
roses. The couple will reside in
Stratford.
Prior to her marriage the bride
was entertained at a supper party
at the home of Mit. Grant Hall,
Stratford, where she was 'given a
