length dress with white accessor-
ies and a corsage of white carna-
tions. Mr. Ronald Sutherland, of

A reception followed at the home
of the groom's parents. For a wed-
ding trip to Detroit the bride chose
a blue summer suit with white ac-
cessories.

• Heavy rainfall and cool weather
delayed baying operations in the
county this past week. Early -seed-
ed spring grain is •patchy and of
poor color: In between showers
farmers are busy cultivating corn
• and beans and spraying late seed-
ed fields of spring grain. Fall
wheat is now practically all out in
head and indications are for a be-
low average yield. Livestock on
the whole are in fair condition,
with the milk flow about normal
for this season of the year.

OBITUARIES
WILLIAM HARRISON
Services for William D. Harri-
son, 74, who died at Clinton, were
conducted in •Goderich on Monday
afternoon in the Stiles Funeral
Home, by -the Rev. R. G. MacMil-
lan, and interment made in Mait-
land cemetery.
Mr. Harrison was born in Gode-
rich Township, and farmed there
until 1911, when he went to the
Assinaboine district. After return-
ing he lived at Seaforth for 12
years, and then went to Goderich.
He was a member of Knox Pres-
byterian Church, and of Goderich
Orange Lodge. His wife, the for-
mer Eva De Long, died in 1954.
Surviving are two brothers,
James, Exeter, and Albert, Sea -
forth; and simi-sister, Mrs. George
Pioetor, Mrs. Ernest Townshend
and Mrs. Lorne Thurlow, Goderich;
Mrs. Minnie Smith, Mitchell; Mrs.
William Scotchmer, Egmondville,
and Mrs. John Williamson, Van-
couver.
MISS ELEANOR MULCAHY
There passed away peacefully at
her home on George St., Seaforth,
on \friday, June 29, Miss Eleanor
Mulcahy, in her 90th year.
• She was born in Hibbert Town-
ship August 30, 1866, daughter of
Edward Mulcahy and Mary Clin-
ton; and came to Seaforth at an
early age and lived her continu-
ously since, and is the last surviv-
ing member of her family.
Miss Mulcahy was a member of
the Catholic Women's League, Al-
tar Society'- and 'League of the
Sacred Heart. 'For the past five
months her health had, been fail-
ing. A nephew and nieces in Van-
couver, B.C., are her only sur-
vivors.
The body rested at the Cleary
Funeral Home and the funeral was
held Monday morning at 9:30 am.
to $t. James' Church, with Father
E. P. Weber singing the Requiem
Mass. The pallbearers were Lloyd
Bedard, Leo Hagan, Morris Mel-
ady, Thomas Melady, John Flan-
nery and Joseph P. Dorsey. In-
terment was made in St. James'
cemetery.
