1956. for the construction of sewage ex-
tensions on Goderich St. and other streets
in the Town of Seaforth, together'' with
the reconstruction of the connecting link
in Highway No. 8 in the Town of Sea -
forth.
The work comprises approximately one
mile of sewer, 116 feet of 48f, culvert.
11.000 cubic yards of excavation and grad-
ing. 3.300 cubic yards of base course
gravel, 4.650 tons of asphaltic concrete
together with primer and seal coat,
amounting to approximately 8.700 gallons
of asphalt cement.
Plans and specifications may be seen
at the offices of the Town Clerk. at the
offices of the Divisional Engineer of the
Department of Highways at Stratford,
Ontario, and the offices of the Consulting
Engineers, Graham Reid & Associates.

Mr. William A. Kerr, of Barrie,'
spent the weekend with his wife
and family.
Mr. James Mustard attended the
funeral of his sister, Miss Mary
Mustard, 81, at Chesley last Sat-
urday. Miss Mustard, who died
suddenly, is survived, in addition
to her brother, by one sister, Annie
of Chesley.
Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Hedden, of '
Woodstock, were weekend visitors
with Mrs: Catherine Hedden and
Herb.
Hensall Women's Institute will
hold a picnic meeting at the sum-
mer home of Mrs. Cornelius Cook,
Grand Bend, Wednesday afternoon.
Members are asked to contact Mrs.
James Paterson and Mrs. Pearcy
Graham regarding transportation,
and to bring cups and saucers.
Sports committee are Mrs. R. M.

Simpson attended graduation ex-
ercises at Seaforth District High
School Friday evening.
Employees of General Coach
Works and friends will be enter-
tained at a banquet to be held at
Goderich Pavilion Saturday -even-
ing, June 9. A dance will be held,
and it is expected some 350 will -
attend.

The first bingo of the season,

Saturday night, was very success-

Graduates At Hospital
Miss Helen Dunlop, of Kincar-
dine;. graduated with a class of 17
at Stratford General Hospital Wed-
nesday afternoon, and was chosen
one of three nurses to attend the
nurses' convention to be held at
Winnipeg, Man., later in June.
Daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Arthur
Dunlop, of Kincardine, she receiv-
ed her education in Kincardine
public and high schools. She is.
the granddaughter of Mrs.' William
Pepper, of Hensall, who attended
the graduation exercises.

Drive your Car to the section of Church St., between Goderich
and James St., where Officers of the Seaforth Police Department
will check the brakes, horn, lights, etc., in short all safety devices
of your car. If all are in perfect working order, you will be
issued a "Safety Checked" Emblem for your Car or Tick.
If some or all of the parts are not functioning in the proper
manner, -these defects will be listed for your information, and you •
may have the situation remedied at the garage or automobile
.repair shop of your choice.
Those with defects may return to the Seaforth
Police Department anytime after they have
repaired the faulty parts and receive a "Safety
Checked" Emblem for the car in question. ,

Seaforth Women's Institute regu-
lar meeting will be held at the
home of Mrs. Wilfred CD'leman on
Tuesday evening' at 8:30, with
Mrs. R. J. Doig and Mrs. R. M.
Scott in charge. This is the Home
Economics and Health meeting.
Roll call will be answered by
"Naming what you had for . break-
fast." The motto will be, "A job

Miss Florence Elford, Home Econ-
omics teacher at the Seaforth Dis-
trict High School, will be guest
speaker. The W.I. is still gathering
