Mr. and Mrs, Roy Brock, of Ex- eter, have rented an apartment over R. H. Middleton's drug store. Mrs. Robert Cunningham and family left this week for Lyndon, where they will take up residence. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Sangster and Sandra, of London, .and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Streeton and PegL gy, of Lucan, visited last weekend with Mrs. Minnie Sangster. At Chiselhurst United Church, special Mother's Day service, bap- tismal rites were administered to John Leslie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Pullman; Donald Rodney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Stone- man. Mrs. R. Boyce gave the story, "God's Room," and a story, "God in the. Home of Moses," was given ' by Mists June Ross. The young peoples' choir s a n g, ='Mother's Prayers Have Followed Me," and Miss Marilyn Eyre and Miss Faye Ros sang "My Mother's Bible." Miss Maja Roobol was pianist. Rev. C. D. Daniel led the service. District Obituaries GEORGE A. GLENN HENSALL-Hensall and district residents fourned the loss of a fin.e citizen in the person of George A. Glenn, who died slid. denly at his home on Saturday af- ternoon, in his 69th year. Although he had been in poor health for the oast few weeks, he was able to 'oe ' n. and sit on the verandah on Saturday. For many years he ,farmed suc- cessfully on No. 4 Highway, north of Hensall, before taking up resi- dence here,.. He was prominent in Hensall Lodge 223, I.O.O.F., was Past Noble Grand, and treasurer for many years. He was a member of Amber Rebekah Lodge, Hensall, and a member of Hensall United Church. Surviving are his widow, the for- mer Maude Dickson; one son, Wil- liam, Grand Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Morley Sanders (Helen), Ex- eter; Mrs. William Finch (Mona), Grand Bend; one brother, John Glenn, Hensall, and one sister, Miss Maude, Glenn, London, and five grandchildren. - Private funeral services were old from the Bonthron Funeral ome, Hensall, Tuesday at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. C. D. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mousseau, Hensall, and the groonr►is the son of ,Mr. and Mrs. David Elliott, Clinton. Rev. Donald MacDonald officiated at the ceremony. Mrs. Harold Bell presided at the organ console and accompanied the soloist, Miss Shir- ley Bell. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a ballerina length gown of white Chantilly lace over nylon fuelle and satin, fashioned with a bouffant skirt and pleated trim on the bodice. The lace bolero jacket featured a Peter Pan collar and lily point sleeves. Her shoulder-len.gth veil of tulle and net was held by a tiara of seed pearls, and her bridal bou- quet was red. roses. A strand of pearls, with matching 'earrings, the gift of the groom, completed her ensemble. .Four attendants preceeded the bride to the altar: Miss 'Margaret Campbell, London, . maid of honor; Miss Julene Elliott, Seaforth, bridesmaid ; Cheryl ' ,Mousseau, Hensall, flower girl, and Master Bradley Mousseau, Hensall•,' ring - bearer. Miss Campbell chose a ballerina length. gown -of blue nylon net ov- er taffeta , with , matching head- dress -and carried a bouquet of pink carnations; Miss Elliott was costumed in a ballerina length gown of pink ,nylon over taffeta with matching accessories, and carried blue carnations. Cheryl Mousseau was frocked in yellow nylon over taffeta with matching headdress with pink nosegay. Howard Grealis, Clinton, was best man, and' Don Mousseau and Norman Elliott, ushered. The reception for sixty guests was held- at the Dominion House, Zurich. For receiving, Mrs. Mous- seat .wore a navy ticatina dress with accessories in, white, with pink carnation corsage. Mrs. El- liott chose a flowered crepe dress and wore a corsage of yellow car- nations, A three-tier wedding cake centered the bridal table, which was flanked with red roses, with white and pink tapers completing the decorations. For their trip to Montreal and, Ottawa, the bride wore a pink coat and navy dress, with navy and white accessories, with which she wore a corsage of white carna- tions. Walsh, president of London Conference W.A., who stressdd the need of dedicated wo- men. Mrs. Norman Shephard accom- panied the soloist, Mrs. J. W. Nedi- ger, Clinton. A discussion was led by Mrs. S. Argyle, who urged wise and broad use of all available books and pamphlets. Luncheon was served by Ontario Street WA. and greetings were extended from the host minister, Rev. A. G. Eagle; from the Pres- bytery by Rev. S. Renner, Bay- field; from the W.M.S. by Mrs. R. McVittie, Blyth; and from the London Conference WA. by Mrs. Walsh. Devotions at the afternoon session were conducted by Blyth W.A., with Mrs. McVittie in charge. The guest speaker for the af- ternoon, Rev. Alex Rabson, spoke on "These Things You Do."- Mrs. Joseph Snider, Goderich, remind- ed the women of the Goderich Summer School and its need of assistance. The convener of the nominating committee, Mrs. C. C. Washington, presented the new slate of officers, and Mrs. Walsh conducted the installation. Mrs. Bell demonstrated diferrent ways to use fruit for a meal -citrus fruit for breakfast -and told the girls to use fresh fruit when in season, such as diced pineappel and stew- ed rhubarb. She demonstrated how to make rhubarb sauce. and prune sponge, using dried prunes. Mrs. Lovell spqke on, "Good Foods Are Econ- omical," and told how to plan meals ahead.
