Rain and cool weather once more
marred the weekend for most of
us. Previously, the, trout season
had opened, on a wet, dreary week-
end, with few venturing to the
swollen streams to try their luck
for the -first of the fishing, season.
Probably another week will go by
before the streams are normal for
good fishing.

When is a bargain a bargain?
Well, we're not sure, but accord-
ing to a Iittle incident recently
when some 10,000 persons—mostly
women—fought to buy clothes,
pots, pans, picture frames, lamp
shades, , window blinds, hats, etc.,
everything was a bargain. There
were battles in the lingerie sec-
tion when two or more women got
their hands on the same garment.
It became so fierce that in one in-
stance one woman, her hair awry,
was seen with the shoulder of her
coat hanging off and her dress
torn at the neck. But the funniest
incident happened in the men's tie
