Joh. 2 as 92nd od Brt�day; Mrs, Joseph Bedard, horn in a log cabin 92 years age, celebrated her 92nd birthday on Sunday. One 'of the few people in the district who can claim five living genera- tions in the family, Mrs. Bedard has eleven children • still living, 81 grandchildren, 144 great-grandchil- dren and four great-great=grand- children. Six of her children are deceased. The former Seraphine Masse, she is the daughter of the late Mr: and Mrs. Peter Masse. Her father, who came to the district as a child, was one of the first set- tlers to arrive in Hay Township from Quebec. Mrs. Bedard has been a resident of the area all her . life, and presently lives with her son, Leon, in Hay Township, Her husband died in 1943. SUPPER AND MEETING FEATURED AS KIPPEN CHURCH' REVIEWS YEAR The annual congregational meet- ing of SL, Andrew's United Chur Kippen, was held on Wednesday evening of last week. The meeting was preceded by a pot -luck supper, served by the men of the congre- gation, under 'the convenership of Robert McAllister. The supper, with its good food and good fel- lowship, was enjoyed •by young and old. A short program was presented through the efforts of Mrs. Harold Jones in the interval when the men were doing the dishes. Meets The Women's Missionary Society held its regular meeting at the home of Mrs. Moore on Thursday with a good attendance, Mrs. Lamond presided. The devotions wee taken by the president, and Mrs. Harburn, and Mrs. Grace Scott followed with prayer by Mrs. Will Miller. A portion of scripture was read by Mrs. Calder McKaig.
