'Hold New Year's Service
A New Year's service and the
Sacrament of the Lord's Supper
were observed in Duff's United
Church on Sunday morning, with
the minister, Rev. W. M. Thomas,
in c'''iaige. Six new members join-
ed the church and two transfers
by certificate. Mr. W. R. Sholdice,
Mr. Lloyd Porter and Mr. George
McArthur are the newly -elected
members of the session. Rev.
Thomas chose as his text, "He
left nothing undone for us, which
the Lord commanded," The choir
sang the anthem, "Peace • Be
Still," under the direction of the
organist, Mrs, Harvey Brown.

The Winthrop Young People's
Union held their annual meeting
in Cavan Church, Winthrop, Tues-
day evening, Dec. 27, in the form
