Mr. Bob Love, of the University of Toronto, accompanied by his friend, Mr. Ernest Holmes, of Bris- tol University of England, are spending the Christmas holidays with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Love. Mr. and Mrs. John Cochrane at- tended the funeral on Tuesday of Mr. Cochrane's brother-in-law, the late John Forrest. Burial took place from the Bonthron Funeral, Home. Hensall. Mrs. Edgar Butt and' her sister, Mrs. John McGregor, of Seaforth, visited Christmas Day with Mr. and Mrs. Alex McGregor and fam- ily. On Christmas Eve a draw was made at Dickert's store, first prize going to Mrs. Gordon Wren; sec- ond prize, Mrs. John Sinclair; third prize. Mrs. Carl McClinchey, of Hensall. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wren were Christmas visitors of the latter's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Forrest, Hensall. Mr. Robt. Thomson spent Christ- mas with his daughter and son-in- law, Mr. and Mrs' Richard Cornish of Goderich. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wahl, of Listowel, visited over Christmas with their sister and brother-in- law, Mr. and . Mrs. Norman Dick- ert and Merle. Mrs. Amelia McClymont is visit- ing during the holidays with her daughter, Mrs. Alice Cook, -of Lon- don, also her daughter, Mrs. Jen- nie Schilbe, of Exeter. Mrs. John McGregor and Mrs. Edgar Butt, of Seaforth, and Rev. D. McDonald, of Hensall, spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Alex McGregor and family. Mr. and Mrs. Alex McGregor and family visited in Waterloo on Tuesday. Mrs. McGregor and Kath- ryn remaining a few days. Sympathy is extended to Mr. Robert Thomson in the recent pass- ing of his sister, the late Mrs. Hannah Workman, of Hensall. Holiday guests of Rev. and Mrs. N. McLeod included their daugh- ter and sin -in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Mosher. Michael and Wendy of Ottawa, and their son, Norman McLeod, of Kingston: On Saturday. December 24. Hold Christmas Service On Sunday. the Christmas ser- vice at St. Andrew's United Church was well attended at 11 a.m. and at 8 p.m. an informal carol ser- vice was held.
