Name Winner At Dublin Bazaar, Tea The annual bazaar, home bald,.. sale and tea, sponsored by the l tar Society of St. Patrick's 'Church, Dublin, was held in the pariah hail on Wednesday evening last week. Thefsociety president, Mrs. Joseph Cronin, assisted by Mrs. Fergus Horan and Mrs. Tom Butters, wel- comed the guests. Sandwiches and tea were served from a table cen- tered with chrysanthemums and lighted candles. In charge of booths with wheels were George Goettler, Tom But- ters, Frank O'Rourke and Joe Dill. Mrs. Fergus Stapleton was in charge of the fish pond; Mrs. Wm. Feeney and Mrs. Frank Bruxer in charge of the candy; Mrs. Wilfrid O'Rourke, Mrs. Fergus Kelly, Mrs. Pat Jordan and Mrs. John Nagle, home baking. Winners of draw prizes were: Miss Sara Coyne, a table; Lennie Cronin, chair; Ted Melady, card table; Miss Anne Maloney, bed- spread and rug. McKillop Branch W.M.S. Hear Conference Reports Meeting at the home of Mrs. J. F. Scott, Huron Road West, the Mc- Killop branch of the Women's Mis- sionary Society of First Presbyter- ian Church heard reports of the Adult Education Conference held in Goderich. Mrs. Scott and Mrs. J. W. Thompson gave the reports. Mrs. Scott also dealt with a chap- ter of the study book. Mrs. Helen McMillan opened the meeting with the minutes and roll call being given by Miss Esther Hocking and Mrs. Scott giving the treasurer's report. Devotions were led by Mrs. R. E. MeMillan, with Mrs. Sam McClure reading the scripture and Mrs. H. McMillan contributing a reading. Mrs. James Aitcheson, Mrs. Al- bert Harrison and Miss Jean Scott were appointed a nominating com- mittee to bring in the new slate of officers to the December meeting. Mrs. Aitcheson offered her home for the December meeting. Mrs. D. Glenn Campbell pronounced the benediction. Amber Rebekah Lodge Gives County Home $25 The regular meeting of Amber Rebekah Lodge was held on Wed- nesday evening. Nov. 16. with Mrs. Archie MacGregor. N.G., in the chair. Twenty-five dollars was voted for furnishings for the County Home in Clinton. and $5.00 for the I.O.O.F. Home at Barrie. Novem- ber 30th a euchre party will be held in the lodge hall and a draw will take place for a living room rocker. The Christmas party will be held December 7. when mem- bers will exchange gifts. W, Down in Exe- ter last week. Mrs. E. Geiger. Hensall. county president, conducted the worship, assisted by Mrs. Down. Mrs. Wm. Pearce and Mrs. F. Gunning. Mrs. Pearce read an editorial from the Canadian Statesman, Bowmanville. in which the editor commented•that for the first time in 50 years a local option vote was coming up. and that the impor- tance to Bowmanville to keep local option is as important as ever.
