Hymn 358 was sung, followed by the scrip- ture which was read by Mrs. G. Coleman. Thoughts on the lesson were read by 'Mrs. Charles 'Reid. Mrs. E. McKinley led in prayer, followed bya duet by Mrs. R. Stephenson and Mrs. Gordon Cole- man, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. George Stephenson. Mrs. George Reid then took charge of the business. The dele- gates for the Presbyterial are Mrs. Pitt and Mrs. William McAsh. Mrs. Clare -McBride and Mrs.. Bill Taylor gave a trumpet and saxo- phone duet, accompanied by Mrs. Bruce Keyes. Mrs. Gordon John- son gave a reading, "It Isn't the Church, It's You." Hymn 148 was sung. Mrs. George Stephenson introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. Erratt, of Toronto. The closing hymn was 388. Mrs. Pitt closed with the benediction. GUILD TO HOLD BAZAAR The regular meeting of the Lad- ies' Guild of St. Thomas' Anglican Church was held on Thursday eve- ning, Sept. I5, in the -parishll. The president, Miss Dorothy Parke, presided and the meeting opened with the scripture reading, `The Gospel for the fourteenth Sunday after Trinity,"" read by Rev. J. H. James. Prayers for the parish were read, followed by the Lord's Prayer in unison. The secretary's and treasurer's reports were read and approved. In the business discussion, mem- bers were reminded of the annual bazaar being held on November 3. After the collection was received and dedicated,the meeting ad- journed with the benediction. Plans were made for the annual bazaar, to be held in October. Ar- rangements were completed for a card party and program in the hall on September 28. A box of stationery, donated by Mrs. J. Shea, Sr., was won by Mrs. Shea. Mr. and Mrs. William McIver, Tom McIver and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Morris were in Midland and To- ronto. Miss Mary Hicknell, Kitchener, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hicknell. Miss Mary Margaret Malone, of London, visited with Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Malone. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Murphy, Billy and Joe, Mr. and Mrs. Al- bert Cronin and Mr. and Mrs. Jas. O'Connor were in Midland.
