Change be absent, Alice Braecker,
our vise -president, 'will take hiss job
at the meetings. Oh yes, the ,Coun-
cil held its first. meeting of the
new term Tuesday, and what hap-
pened -behind those doors? Well,.
ask your form rep.
From here on in we are very
privileged people up at the school.
The carpenters and painters have
made their exit. Dr. Dunlop, Min-
ister of Education, formally de-
clared the new addition open.Tuues-
day before Sur parents and friends.
Now that we have it to ourselves,
we are certainly going to miss all
that noise and commotion. "Wlatoh
that stick railing!" However, - af-
ter Eoing to all that fuss of beau-
tifying our building, and keeping
our -fingers crossed all week, they
forgot to give- us a holiday! Of
course' Dr. Dunlop was the only
one who could have done it. I won-
der how such an important item
escaped notice!
On: Wednesday afternoon we held
an assembly in the gym to distri-
bute the money of the magazine
campaign. Linda Sims headed the
pay-off with $11, followed by Ruth
Teall with $10, and Dora Ann Stin-
son $9, which was what the com-
mission earned, We next had a
distinguished visitor, Mr. Young,
from Curtis Publication, who pre-
sented both Ruth and Linda with
wrist watches. He then made a
draw for a mantel radio, and be-
lieve it or not, Dora Ann was the
lucky winner. Congratulations to
these girls! it's a shame there
wasn't a boy around.
The time -table for the exams is
now up on the bulletin board, and
exams will start Wednesday, No-
vember 24, and finish November
30, a Tuesday. I wish you luck,
but after all when you've been
studying as long as some of you
have, I don't imagine that you will
need it.
Question of the week: Bob, just
what is so interesting about a girl
in Grade 9 who lives next door to
Marie Hunt? -
