Upper Thames River Conservation Authority sec- retary -treasurer Leonard N. John- son, ohnson, of London, attended the meet- ing and outlined to the council the work of the Authority. He advised that the exceutive committee had moved to pay grants to approved farm pond construction iu the township in the authority area constructed during the calendar year, and that the Township of Usborne be . assessed $46 for the year 1954 on a basis of 18 per cent of the township being in the auth- ority area. Council agreed to pay the assessment. Assessment court of revision for 1954 was set up by the members subscribing to the oath of office. The clerk presented a list of own- ership changes to be made in the 1954 tax collector's roll. The court agreed that these changes be made on motion of Jeffery and Meru. The count was adjourned on Mo- tion of Hera and Smith. Aldworth Drain spurt of revision was not set up as there were no appeals against • the assessments in the Aldworth Drain By -Law No. 8, 1964. The bylaw was amended to read that the assessments contain- ed therein would not be collected until the tune that taxes would be collected in 1955, and finally •pass- ed no 'motion of Hern and Jeffery. Gardiner Drain Supplemental By - Law, No. 8, 1954, was given three readings and tonally passed on mo- tion of Smith and Jeffery. Road and Bridge Accounts Passed The road superintendent's report was accepted and road and bridge accounts to a total voucher of $2,- 13.8.24, were ,pass4d for payment on motion of Smith and Jeffery. The treasurer reported receipt of $327.26 from the road superintend- ent and $1,083.02 to General Ac- count and a balance of cash of $997.30. Current accounts in the amount of $4,805.07, including tile for municipal drains in the amount pf $4,236.84, were passed for pay- ment on motion of Jeffery and Smith. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McFarlane,, R.R. 2, Brussels, and the bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John ,Byerman, Walton. Rev. H. Meurig Thomas, of Wal- ton, officiated at the ceremony, as- sisted by Rev. J. Melvin Keys, of Stratford, an uncle of the bride- groom. The organist, Mrs. Edward McCreath, of Walton, played tra- ditional raditional wedding music and accom- panied the soloist, Mrs. Graeme McDonald, of Brussels, who sang "0 Perfect Love" before the cere- mony, and "The Wedding Prayer" during the signing of the register. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full-length gown of white nylon marquisette over satin featuring a fitted lace bodice with a long-sleeved lace and net coat overdress. Her short veil was caught by a pearl headdress. She carried a white Bible crested by an orchid. Miss Beryl McFarlane, of Brus- sels, was maid of honor for her sister, wearing a blue cocktail- mittee comprised of the reeve, clerk and W. J. Routly, were ap- pointed on motion of Hern and Jeffery. Mr, Keith Pauli, of Cochrane, was the best man, and Mr. Glen Corlett and Mr. Mervin •Beuer- mann ushered. A wedding dinner was served in the church parlor, with chrysan- themums, asters, gladioli and fern used for decorations. The bride's mother received wearing a navy blue crepe and lace dress, with navy and winter -white accessories, assisted by the bridegroom's rnoW er, who wore a blue dress with red accessories. Each wore a corsage of red . roses. Guests were present from -Strat- ford, Seaforth, Toronto, Temiskam- ing, Cochrane, Walton, Brussels, Mitchell, Brodhagen and Kitchener. Tile best man, ushers and soloist were presented with initialed gold tie clips; the bride's •attendants re- ceived flatware, and the flower - girls, gold lockets. For the wedding trip to Eastern Ontario, the bride changed to a light blue suit with navy and win- ter white accessories and a rose corsage. On their return Mr. and Mrs. Byerman will make their home in Brusssels. a Canada.
