The Seaforth Junior Institute
held their monthly meeting in the
Seaforth District High School on
Tuesday -evening with a goodly
number of girls in attendance.
The meeting opened with the Open-
ing Ode, followed by the Mary
Stewart Collect and the Lard's
Prayer.
The roll call was answered by,
"How I wore my hair when young."
The styles at that time proved to
be pig -tails, OTshort hair with
bangs.
A report waas given of the draw
which the Junior Institute had at
the Seaforth Fall Fair, with the
winners being Mrs. Helen Lane, of
rs. Seaforth, and Elizabeth Townsend,
Il- of Tuckersmith. Gifts were sent to
of two members, who were married
during the summer, and thank -you
cards were received from each,
Mrs. Bob Allan and Mrs, JimArm-
strong. .
The Junior Institute was success-
ful in getting second 'prize for
their float at the Exeter Fall Fair,
and also second at the Seaforth
Fall Fair. The motto for the eve-
ning was given by Joanne Beur-
on mann, and a poem was read by

d The guest speaker for the eve -
o, ning was Mrs. Muriel Elliott, a
of local hairdresser from Seaforth,
id who told about hair styles and
care of the skin. Worthwhile in-
formation was obtained from her.
Hold Joint Meeting

chair for the combined meeting.
the meeting being opened by the
Junior Farmers' song, Laverne
Godkin, Catherine Campbell and
Earle McSpadden each gave a re-
port on the trip that they had pre-
viously won for 4-11 and JuniorFarmers' work.
Several names were suggested to
enter the public speaking contest
for the county. The club paper
was given by Larry Wheatley.
The evening was brought to a
close with lunch and refreshments.

MacLENNAN - CLINTON
On "Monday, October 11, 1954, at
11 o'clock, a very, quiet wedding
was solemnised at Northside Unit-
ed Church, Seaforth, when Janet
Elaine Clinton, daughter- of Mr.
and Mrs, A. P. Clinton, 68th --4th
Ave., Sodbury, Ont., and Robert
Douglas MacLennan, son of Dr.
and Mrs. J. C. MacLennan, Sea.
forth, were joined in the holy
bonds of matrimony. Rev, J. W.
A. Stinson officiated.
The bride was attired in a dress-
maker snit of green wool with
brown and green accessories. ,She
carried a dozen red roses,
Miss Kathaleen Clinton was her
sister's bridesmaid, gowned in a
suit dress of pink taffeta with hat
to match, and she wore a corsage
of blue carnations.
The junior attendants were the
small brother and sister of the
groom, Bill and Susan MacLennan.
The little flower -girl was dressed
in midnight blue velvet with a
matching hat in felt, and carried a
nosegay of pink and white mums.
Mr, Jack Hiscocks, of Mantreal, at-
tended the groom.
The reception was held at the
home of the groom's parents on
Centre St., in Seaforth. The happy
couple left after the reception for,
Montpebir, Vermont, amid showers 1
of confetti. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Mac-
Lennan will be at home after Oct.
19, at 92 State St„ Montpebir, Ver-
mont.
McDONALD - CAMPBELL
Of interest locally was an af-
ternoon ceremony in St. Andrew's
I'resby'terian Church, Puce, on -Sat-
urday, October 9, when Miss
Eleanor Ross Campbell, daughter
of Mrs, Charles Campbell, of St.
Clair Beach and the late Mr.
Campbell, of Leamington, became
the bride of Mr. Robert Joseph Mc-
Donald, son of Mr. and Mrs. James
Wallace, McDonald of Windsor.
The bride is the granddaughter of
the late Alex H. Ross, of McKil-
lop Township, and Mrs. Ross, noW
of Matheson.
The bride, given in marriage by
her great uncle, Mr. Thomas Simp-
son, of Windsor, wore a waltz -
length gown of champagne mink
crystalline fashioned with wide
skirt, its off -the -shoulder bodice
embroidered with seed pearls and
rhinestones. A matching French
bandeau of satin and velvet, also
embroidered with seed pearls and
rhinestones, held the cathedral
veil of champagne illusion. The
bridal bouquet was a wide cers-
cent of white mums flanked by
Irish roes point lace made by the
bride's great -great-grandmother 100
years oiron of honor, Mrs. Man
Munce, of Leamington, as the
bride's only attend -ant, wore a Dior
blue waltz length gown with clos-
i d ruffles in the bouffant skirt.
IIer matching hat of blue crystal-
line had a tiny nose veil held in
place with rhinestones, and she
carried a crescent of yellow mums.
Mr. James A. McDonald acted
as best man for his brother, and
Mr. Richard Girler and 'Mr. Alan
T. Munce as ushers. Mrs. Ray-
mond R. Cook played the wedding
music and accompanied Miss Doro-
thy Rae Young, of Leamington, in
two solos, Mallott's "The Lord's
Prayer" and Edward Greig's "I
Love 'Thee."
A reception for 70 guests follow-
ed at the home of the bride and
her mother on Kensington Drive in
the Village of St. Clair Beach. Dur-
ing the reception Miss Dorothy
Young again sang several solos,
"Because", "I Love You Truly,"

DEATH OF MRS. J, D.'HINCHLEY
The death occurred in Scott
Memorial Hospital on Friday of
Jennie Mae Dougall, widow of the
late J. D. Hinchley. She had been
in the hospital about,four weeks.
In her 99th year, she was born
at • Kippers. In 1.895.rshe married
Mr. Hinchley at Waltlon. He pre-
deceased her in 1926. She has
been a resident of Seaforth since
1910.
She is survived by two sons,
John of Owen Sound, and Harry,
of Renfrew, and by four grand-
children.
A member of Northside United
,.Church, her minister, Rev. J. W.
Stinson, conducted funeral servic-
es at the Whitney Funeral Home
on Tuesday. Interment followed in
Maitlandbank cemetery, the palI-
bearers being George Ramsay,
Fred Smalldon, Arthur Henderson,
Gordon Engel, Douglas Keith and
M. Long,
BROTHER DIES IN LONDON
Last rites were held Wednesday
for Albert J. Kelly, former prom-
inent farmer at Blyth, who died
Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
Mr. Kelly went to London seven
years ago. He was born in Huron
County. The body rested at the
,john T. Doohue Funeral Hoe,
London. Renquiem High Mass was
relebrated at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's
Cathedral Wednesday and burial
was in St. Peter's cemetery, Lon-
don.
Mr. Kelly attended St. Peter's
Cathedral and was a member of
-the Holy Name Society, the League
of the Sacred Heart and the So-
ciety for the Propagation of the
Faith.
His wife, Margaret, survives,
with .ix sons: Fergus, Toronto;
Albert Kelly, Jr., Hamilton; and
Lewis, Gordon, Sylvester and Clif-
ford Kelly, all of London; two
daughters, Mr's. Thomas Egan and
Mrs, Arthur Newfield, both of Lon-
don; three brothers, Patrick, Sea -
forth, and Thomas and Leo- Kelly,
both of Blyth; and one sister,
Mrs. William Devereaux, Seaforth.

powder pink, mums. The bride's
I grandmother, Mrs. Charles Camp-
bell, Sr., wore a navy blue ensem-
ble with a lavender mum corsage.
Mr. -and Mrs. McDonald left on a
motor trip through the Southern
States, the bride travelling in a
suit of caramel gabrdine worn with
dark brown accessories and jewel-
led hat, and carrying a bittersweet
and charcoal topcoat. Her corsage
was of bronze mutns.
