Dublin Brides Feted
By Friends in Two
Showers Recently
Miss Margaret Givlin, Dublin,
bride -elect of this week, was feted
at a miscellaneous shower Sunday
afternoon when about 30 ladies
gathered at her home, which was
tastefully decorated for the occa-
sion.
The afternoon was spent playing
bingo and other games. Later, the
bride was seated in a decorated
chair and a suitable address was
read by Mrs. Joseph Nolan. Miss
Madelyn Dillon assisted the bride
in opening the many gifts. The
bride -elect thanked all present for
their thoughtfulness.
Mrs, Louis Looby entertained at
a miscellaneous shower for Miss
Agnes Cassidy, who was married
October 17, to Lorne Flanagan.
About 20 friends attended.
Bingo was played and Mrs. Looby
read an address. Miss Margaret
Flanagan helped the guest of
honor to open the many gifts.

Smorgasbord Dinner is
Enjoyed by Over 200
Something different in the way
of a dinner was sponsored Tuesday
evening when the Fireside Fellow-
ship group of First Pres'bjrterian
Church served a smorgaasbord
meal •to over 200.
The food was served buffet style
from every table. The decorations
were carried out In autumn colors
and were deftly arranged.
Stanley J. Smith and Mrs. J. E.
Keating played piano selections
during the dinner hour. The chefs
were Rosa Hamilton, Scott Chuff,
K. I. 'McLean, W. J. Stuart, M. A.
Reid and F. Kling. 'Phe affair was
convened by Mrs. W. J. Stuart and
committee.

Mrs. J. C. Crich.
Mrs. C. Glew had the misfortune
to fall and' break her hip at her
home recently, and is now in Scott
Memorial Hospital.
