The morning session opened with a devotional service, the scripture reading being taken by a member of the Hensall Senior Auxiliary and grrayers by members from Auburn, Bayfield, Exeter and Hensall. The president, Mrs. D. G Camp- bell, in a brief address, based her remarks on the theme, "0 Lord, Revive Thy Work." Rev. R. G. MacMillan brought greetings from Huron -Maitland Presbytery. Mrs. Robert Bisset, presient of Gode- rich W.M.S., extended a welcome to the visiting women and voiced the pleasure of that auxiliary in having the rally held there. Re- ports were read from the various auxiliaries in the presbytery. Memorial Service At noon, dinner was served in the church hall to 75 guests by the members of Goderich W.M.S. and Arthur Circle, At the afternoon session, after • 1 (9-eaiz, s -Eo IN INDIA, scientists have worked out a way to cook food by sun - power. It sounds a bit complicated to us — but the fact is that the solar cooker turns out a meal as fast as a 300 -watt electric stove. It's just one more indication that food and aluminum go to- gether — in containers, utensils, foil and in the equipment used by the dairying and food processing industries. Aluminum Company of Canada, Ltd. (Alcan) devotional exercises by the Clinton Auxiliary, Mrs. R. Eberhart, Sea - forth, conducted an "In Memoriam" service. She spoke feelingly of those mem- bers who have passed on, having discharged life's tasks faithfully and honorably, and expressed the hope that the good work carried on by them might be continued. Site concluded by reading the names of the departed ones. A beautiful contralto solo was sung by MTS. Clayton Edward. The guest speaker, ;Mrs. Arthur Hamilton, of Atwood, president of the Hamilton and,, London Synodi- cal, was introduced by Mrs. 1). J. Lane, of Clinton. Mrs. Hamilton chose as her subject, "First Things First," and based her remarks on the childhood of Jesus when He was found in the temple by His mother and in reply to her admoni- tion, He said, "Wrist ye not that I must be about my Father's , busi- ness?" Need of Christianity She spoke of the multitudes in distant lands in need of Christian - ity; of the disappointment and tragedies of rife. Saiv&tion is not in culture or education,, but in Christ alone. Christ (belongs to the whole world. Every work in the church is for the enrichment and blessing of our souls. The Arthur Circle presented a short play, depicting the mission- ary work in the church across Oan- oda where many from foreignn lands have come to make their thomes. The Mission Band conducted a brief service at which their leader, Miss D. Johnston, presented' Junior life membership pins and certifi- cates to Diane McConnell, Lorna Pratt, Charlene Stowe and Audrey Allison, who are now becoming members of the C.G.I.T. The meeting closed with a hymn and the benediction. Dad: "You young scalawag! I'll teach you to make love to my daughter!" Suitor: "I wish you would, sir; I'm not making much (headway." Miss Ethel Moliwain visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theron 'Realest. Mr. and Mrs. Kyle, Lakefield, Quebec, are visiting with Rev. H. E. Livingstone at the McKillop manse. Mr. Leslie McSpadden le ft Friday to attend university of Toronto. Mr. Dave McFarlane and Miss Jean McFarlane and Mr. and Mrs. Robert McFarlane and Joan, of A1- nuonte, are visiting with R. K. Mc- Farlane. Mr. Sam Pethick is spending some time with his brother, Mr. Tom Pethick, London. Mr. Arthur Alexander was taken to Victoria Hospital, London, for treatment. Mr. Frank Johnston has returned home from Scott Memorial Hospi- tal. Gem- mell was co -hostess. With the presi- dent, Mrs. Joseph McLellan in the chair, Mrs. Charles Eyre presented the motto: "As 'a rule, home de - attended London Fair on Tuesday. Mrs. Ross 'Ohapman. read a hum- orous poem and Mrs. W. Broadfoot delivered the current events. Mar- garet MacKay gave areport en the A.C.W.W. convention in Toronto, and Mrs. W.
