LATE ANDREW,DUNCAN
A highly respected resident. of
Stratford for the, peat 50 years,
Andrew 'Duncan, 222 Douro St., died
last Saturday in the Stratford Gen-
eral Hospital, where he had been a
patient for the past three weeks.
A native of Seaforth, Mr. Duncan
was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
John Duncan. He was born on
November 9, 1872, and spent his
early days in Seaforth. After going
to Stratford the was employed with
the McLagan Furniture 'Company
and later with the Stratford Chair
Company. He retired' from his
work three Years ago.
His wife, the former Mary Grab-
er„ died about five years ago, and
since that time Mr. Duncan.. had
made his home with his son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. V.
Read, 232 Douro St. 'Mr. Duncan
was a devout member of the Church
of the Immaculate Conception. He
was a member- of the Holy Name
Society and the League of the
Sacred Heart of that, parish.
Miss Mavis Oliver, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Oliver, Wal-
ton, and Miss Joan Ryan, daughter
Dr. P. L. Brady, Lorne and Alvin of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ryan,
Dale, B. F. Christie, Fred Johnston, also of Walton, are in training as
J. Hotham, Sr., A. W. Sillery and. nurses in a London hospital.

taking part in a bowling tourna-

The funeral was held Monday
morning at the Immaculate Concep-
tion Church, Stratford; when Rev.
W. T. Corcoran celebrated Requiem
High Mass and also officiated at
the graveside in Avondale ceme-
tery. Pallbearers were 'Ralph Dill,
Robert Purcell', Newman O'Leary,
Herbert Chapman, Henry Ellling-
son and Leslie Sinclair, all of
Stratford. Relatives and friends
were present from Seaforth, To-
ronto, Brantford, London, Detroit
and Stratford,

LATE ANDREW,DUNCAN
A highly respected resident. of
Stratford for the, peat 50 years,
Andrew 'Duncan, 222 Douro St., died
last Saturday in the Stratford Gen-
eral Hospital, where he had been a
patient for the past three weeks.
A native of Seaforth, Mr. Duncan
was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
John Duncan. He was born on
November 9, 1872, and spent his
early days in Seaforth. After going
to Stratford the was employed with
the McLagan Furniture 'Company
and later with the Stratford Chair
Company. He retired' from his
work three Years ago.
His wife, the former Mary Grab-
er„ died about five years ago, and
since that time Mr. Duncan.. had
made his home with his son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. V.
Read, 232 Douro St. 'Mr. Duncan
was a devout member of the Church
of the Immaculate Conception. He
was a member- of the Holy Name
Society and the League of the
Sacred Heart of that, parish.
Miss Mavis Oliver, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Oliver, Wal-
ton, and Miss Joan Ryan, daughter
Dr. P. L. Brady, Lorne and Alvin of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ryan,
Dale, B. F. Christie, Fred Johnston, also of Walton, are in training as
J. Hotham, Sr., A. W. Sillery and. nurses in a London hospital.
H. H. Leslie were in Elora Monday
taking part in a bowling tourna-
ment.
Mr.' James Wallace and Miss
Buelah Dennis, Lakelet, spent a
few days in Toronto attending the
Exhibition and visiting Mrs. Edythe
Wallace.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. McGavin
and Ross, Winnipeg, Man., Mr, and
Mrs, Gordon MoGavin, Peterbor-
ough; Mrs. Vera Campbell, Miss
Eleanor Campbell, Miss Elsie Simp-
son and Mr. Thomas Simpson, all
of Windsor, were in Seaforth last
week attending the funeral of the
late Mrs. Allan Ross, of McKillop.
Mr. J. Clarence Scott, Victoria,
B.C., and son, Mr. James Scott, To-'
ronto, were calling on old acquaint-
ances in town.' Mr. Scott notices
many changes since he was last
here in 1931.

daughter, Patricia, Edmonton, and
Mr. and Mrs. William Lane, Oril-
lia, spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Nicholson.

real after spending their holidays

and Mrs. Elizabeth Deneau, Red-
lands, California.
The funeral was held Monday
morning at the Immaculate Concep-
tion Church, Stratford; when Rev.
W. T. Corcoran celebrated Requiem
High Mass and also officiated at
the graveside in Avondale ceme-
tery. Pallbearers were 'Ralph Dill,
Robert Purcell', Newman O'Leary,
Herbert Chapman, Henry Ellling-
son and Leslie Sinclair, all of
Stratford. Relatives and friends
were present from Seaforth, To-
ronto, Brantford, London, Detroit
and Stratford,
