Laverty, in Morgan Memorial •Chapel, Queen's Univers- ity, Kingston, on July 25. - The bride given in marriage by her father, wore an ankle -length gown of Chantilly lace and net. It was fashioned with a lace bodice and an accordion pleated net skirt over taffeta. A lace bolero com- pleted her costume. She wore an illusion veil of fingertip length and carried a cascade•bouquet of white carnations and stephanotis. Mrs. Norman Love, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore. an ankle -length gown of powder biue nylon and lace. Her headdress was a cluster of natural flowers, and she carried a semi -cas- cade of matching blooms. Little Miss Anne Edgar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Edgar, of King- ston, was flower girl. She wore an ankle -length gown of pink net and taffeta. Her headdress also was a cluster of flowers, and she carried a basket of sweetheart roses. August 4, Miss Gertrude Gray, a former resident of Seaforth, and daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Gray, Who owned the .house 'now occupied by Mrs.. R. S. Hays. Miss Gray in her younger days was interested in domestic science and travelled extensively In connection with her work. She is the last remaining member of the family. The remains were -brought to Seaforth, where they rested at the G. A. Whitney Funeral' Home until Friday, when interment -was made in Maitlandbank cemetery. LATE MRS. W. A. SCLATER Word was received by her broth- er, Mr. John Cummings, of town, of the death in Regina, :Sash:, of Minnie Cummings, wife of William A. ;Sclater, Toth former residents of Seaforth. Mrs. :Sclater passed away Monday, August 1:0, following an iliness of over a year. " She was born ''in ,Seaforth and was married here 48 years ago. They lived.' here for a time, ,but went to Regina 46 years ago where they continued to live. Surviving are her husband; two daaghters, Mrs. Taylor, of 'Chatham, and Mrs. J. L. ' Vansythe, . Regina, and one son, Murray Selater, Regina; also one sisters Miss Isabelle Cummings, Ottawa, and one brother; 1VIr. John Cummings,of town.
