St,' Goluzialsan, Church was the
scene of a very interesting wed-
ding on Saturday, August 1, at
9:30 a.m., when Mary Teresa Ken-
nedy, elder daughter of •'Mr. and
Mrs. Angus Kennedy, became the
bride of William Joseph Kinahan,
elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Augus-
tine Kinnhan, of R.it, No. 2, Luck -
now. Rev. J. J. IVieCowell perform-
ed the double -ring ceremony and
sang the Nuptial Mase.
The bride given in marriage by
her father, entered the church to
the strains of the wedding music
played by'y Mrs. Thomas Kale. The
bride was beautifully dressed in a
gown of nylon. net and 'Chantilly
lace over bridal satin, with fitted'
princess' bodice . of all-over lace
with peter .pan 'Cellar, trimmed
with seed ,pearls. The floor-len,gth
veil of embroidered nylon net was
attached t a. crown headdress
trimmed with seed pearls. She
carried a white prayer book, with
red rosebud's attached to white sat-
in streamers.
The matron of honer,t'Mrs. Pat-
rick Murray, London, wore a gown
of sea green net, over taffeta, with
floral headdress and fitted mittens.
Rita Kennedy, sister of the bride,
as- junior bridesmaid, was attired
isi a similar gown of dusty rose,
with matching headdress and both
carried a nosegay of yellow roses.
Michael Kinahan, London, was
groomsman for his brother. The
ushers were Lewis Kennedy, To-
ronto, brother of the bride, arid
Maurice Edwards, Ottawa, brother-
in-law of the groom.
The altar of the church was beau-
tifully decorated with pink anti
yellow gladioli. During the Offer-
tory, Rose Maria Ducharme, cousin
of the bride, sang "Ave Maria," and
"On This Day, 0 Beautiful Mother,"
when the 'bride placed. her flowers
on the Blessed Virgin's Altar.
Atter the ceremony a wedding
dinner was held at The Hillerest
Tea Rooms, Mitchell, and a recep-
tion at the home of the bride's
parents, with the 'bride's, inotther re-
ceiving in a dress of navy sheer,

For travelling the bride ,donned
an orchid orlon suit with whaelan-
cessories, and caisage of yellow
roses. After a honeymoon to Ot-
tawa, Montreal and Ste. Anne de
Beaupre, the young couplewill re-
side on the groom's farm at St.
Augustine. .
Previous to the marriage a mis-
cellaneous shovaer was held at the
bride's home,,sponsored by Mrs. Al-
bert .Cronin and Mrs. Patrick Mur-
ray, at which many valuable and'
useful gifts were received.

Church, Fergus, Saturday, August 1,
for the marriage of Amy Louise,
daughter of Mr. aud Mrs. Leslie P.
Menzies of Fergus, to Mr. John
Henderson Black, Jr., of Seaforth,
son of Mr. and Mrts. J. H. Black,
Fergus_ Rev, A. E. Menzies, Ansa.
Craig, uncle of the bride, assisted
by Rev, O. Glen Taylor, Fergus,
conducted the ceremony.
Mr. Menzies gave his daughter in
marriage. The bride woret a gown
of line ivory imported satin, trim-
med, on bodice and sleeves with
Swiss embroidery, The full skirt
had a court train bustle back, and
a band of lace. A headdress of
stephanotis held her long veil, and
she carried a shower of white ros-
es with stephanotis.
Mists Muriel Fatura, maid of hon-
or, chose a dress of shrimp brocad-
ed cotton, and carried green baby
chrysanthemums. Miss Marion
Black, sister . Of the groom, Miss
Mavis Moir and Mies Marilyn Stew-
art, bridesmaidia • were gowned in
Nile green brocaded, cotton, carry-
ing shrimp -toned baby chrysanthe-
mums. Their dresses had' fan 'bod-
ices, full ,skirts of unpressed pleats,
and capes trimmied; with white
fringe. All wore matching -caps.
Two s 11 niecesof the bride, Miss-
es Hoag. er Muir Menzies and Mel-
anie Jane Menzies, were flower
girls, frocked in shrimp brocaded
cottoia with deep berthas, trimmed
with vrhite fringe. Their bandeaux
of Nile green baby chrysanthemums
matched their bouquets. Mr. Per-
ry Noble Black was best man for
his brother, and the ushers' were
Mestere. Reed Menzies, Bothwell;
Kenneth Westerman, Fergus; John
Sogarich, Toronto, and James Dills,
Acton.
After a garden reception at "Tagil
Mingles,," home of the bride's par -
guests, the couple left for the
Adirondacke. They will reside in
Seaforth, where Mr. Black is em-
ployed on, the staff of The Huron
Expositor.

LATE REV, SISTER M. THERESE
The Rev. Sister Marie Therese
(Margaret Garvey), a member of
the community of the Sisters of St.
Joseph for 38 years, died Monday.
August 3, at St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
Born at Kingsbridge, she was a
daughter of the late Thomas- and
Margaret Garvey. A school teacher
most of her life, she taught in sep-
arate schools th Windsor for 16
years and in Edmontote Alta., for
four yearn For shorter terms she
-
served in Goderich and St. James'
Separate School, Seaforth, in, 1926-
27.
Surviving are five 'brothers, the

The funeral was held Wednesday
from Sacred Heart Convent, Lon-
don,' when Solemn Requiem High
Mass was sung- at the chapel at 10
a.m. Burial was inSt. Peter's ceme-
tery, •Lonclon.
LATE MRS. A. O'HANLEY
Mrs. Pearl O'Hanley died Sunday,
August 2, at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. ,Con Eckert, Sea -
forth. The former Pearl Anderson,
she was the wife of the late Angus
O'Hanley. She was in her 67th
year.
Surviving are one son, John, of
Parkhill; and, four daughtera:, Mrs.
Con (Claire) Eckert, Seaforth;
Kathleen, Brandon, Man.; and Jean
and Mrs. Pat (Marion?) Cleary, both
of London.
The remains rested at the W. J.
Cleary Funeral Home and later at
the Box Funeral home, Parkhill,
when Requiem High Mass was
sung at St. 'Columbia Church, Park-
hill, at 10 a.m. The ?pallbearers
were John M. Eckert, Joseph Art-
derson,, Neil Johnson, Hanlon Mc-
Donald, John McEachern. and Dan
Morrison. Interment took place in
Bornish cemetery, Parkhill.
