Olive Edna Hunter, Exeter, and
Lewis Tebbutt, Seaforth, were unit-
ed in marriage on Saturday, June
27, at 1 p.m. by Rev. H. J. Snell,
Exeter. Following a wedding dint
ner at the home of friends in Bur-
lington, they left on a trip to
Niagara Falls. On their return they
will reside in Seaforth.
DICKINSON - SNELL
The parsonage of James Street
United Church', Exeter, was the set-
ting for a wedding on Saturday,
when Margaret June, elder daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Helmer
Snell, Seaforth, was united in mar-
riage to Mr. Norman Francis Dick-
inson, son of Mr. and Mrs, Norman
R. Dickinson, Toronto.
Rev. H. 7. Snell, uncle of the
bride, performed the ceremony.
Miss Barbara Yeates, Brantford,
was organist, and Mr. H.Mavin,
Brantford, was soloist. Before the
service be sang "0 Perfect Love,"
and "'Phe Wedding Hymn" during
the signing of the register.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a white linen suit
with beaded trim and white acces-
sories. She carried a white Bible
on which was placed an orchid.
Mrs. Henry Thaler, Brantford, as
matron of honor, wore a linen dress
in coral shade with white beaded
trim. Her accessories were white,
and she carried yellow chrysanthe-
mums.
Mr. Gordon Buchanan, Wingham,
was best man.
A wedding dinner was served at
Northside United Church, Seaforth,
with the bride's table decorated
wibh bouquets of pink and white
sweet peas and white tapers, and
centred with a tiered wedding
cake.

Mr. Kenneth MacKay, Ocean
Falls, B.C., is visiting -his sister,

years since he has been in Sea -
forth, and he Bees many changes.
Mrs. J. M. McMillan, of town,
and Mrs. E. Y. 1Vlulvale, Sarnia, are
on a motor trip to Tamworth and
Ottawa, where they will visit Mrs.
McMillan's two sons, Neville and
Miles McMillan.

returned after spending a week at
Bayfield.

at one time was employed by the

parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Steph-

garet, of Edmonton, were guests of

ed the Cuthill reunion at Bayfield
on Sunday.

attended a reunion of graduate
nurses of Clinton Public Hospital,

tional Convention of Jehovah's
Witnesses. Yankee Stadium, July
19 to 26. The family will also snake
a visit to the Watchtower Bible
College of Gilead, near Ithaca, New
York, and other places of interest
in New York City during their va-
cation trip,
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Wright left
Wednesday morning by train for
Calgary, Alta., where they will
spend the next six weeks.

ter were in Montreal where they
attended the wedding of her broth-
er, Mr. 'Douglas Greenwood, to
Miss Kathleen Robson, Gaspe, Qti'e,
Mrs. Martha Corlett spent the
weekend in London visiting rela-
tives and attended the Elgie reun-
ion at the Memorial Park, 'New
Glasgow.

The little son of Mr, and Mrs.
Earl Gray received lacerations to
his head Saturday afternoon when
he was in collision with a passing
car on Main St. '
Miss Edna Rivers, Reg.N., To-
ronto, attended the Dickinson -Snell
wedding in Exeter on Saturday and
also visited her mother, Mrs. Albert
Rivers, and Mr. and Mrs. H. E.
Snell.
Donald Hillis passed his final
year examinations at the College
of Education, Toronto, and has
secured' a school at North Bay,
Mr. and Mrs. William Campbell,
Mrs. Frank Storey, Miss Ethel
Storey and Mr. Wayne Ellis were
in Toronto Wednesday attending
the graduation exercises of Miss
Lorna Ellis, held at Canadian Moth-
ercraft Hospital, where 15 nurses
received their diplomas.

Miss Eleanor Weaver and Miss
Ruth Keyes at London; Miss Doris
Pullman; Mrs. Elva Ellis and Miss-
es Geraldine and Dorothy Eckert

Mrs. W. E. Kilpatrick, who has
spent the past year with her 'sis-
ter, Mrs. Robert J. Elgie, Tucker -
smith, and otber relatives, arrived
at her home in Meota, Sask., on
Saturday. She was accompanied
by her sister, Miss Finnigan, town,
who will stay with her for a vaca-

The annual visitors' day, conyene
ed by the W.M.S. and W.A. of Rg=
anondville United Church, was held
recently. The meeting was in
charge of W.M.S.'President Mrs, A,
W. Gardiner, and W.A. organiza-
tion president, Mrs./ James Mein-
tesh
Mrs. Gardiner opened the meet-
ing with a poem, "Abiding in God's
Love." "Mrs. McIntosh, led in pray-
er; then welcomed the different
church groups: Northside, Con-
stance, -Winthrop, Duff's and Turn-
er's. The worship service was in
charge of Mrs, J. S. Watson and
Mrs, James Hay.
Those taking part in the W.M.S.
skit were: Mrs. E. Boyes, MTs. E.
Smith, Mrs. Watson, Mrs. James
Hay and Mrs. Cr, McGonigle. A
piano solo by Mrs. Crich, of Turn-
er'
s, was followed' by' a reading,
"Big Brother," by Mrs. Dodds, Win-
throp. The offering was received.
by Mrs.' Alex Chesney, Mrs. M.
Nott, Mrs. R. McGonigle, Mrs. E.
Boyes. This was followed by a
reading by Mrs. H. Snell, North-
side.
Mrs. Gardiner introduced,. the
guest speaker, Mrs. D. Glenn Camp-
bell, First Presbyterian Church,
Seaforth. Mrs. Campbell gave an
inspiring address on "Giving Our
Lives to the Church."
Mrs. E. Boyes thanked Mrs.
Campbell for her wonderful ad=
dress, also the otiher gueets. This
was followed by a duet by Miss
Scott and Miss Jantzi, Duff's
Church.' Mrs. McGregor was at the
piano. Mrs. Gardiner gave a read-
ing, "When I Met the Master Face
to Face."
The closing prayer was given by
Mrs. Gardiner, The visitors retir-
ed to the school room where a so-
cial half-hour .vas spent.

Mr. and Mrs. Hawley visited in
London on Monday. Mr. C. Hawley
who spent the weekend here, re-
turned with them.
Miss Dianne Morey, Mitchell, is
visiting Mr. and Mrs. E. Haase.

teresting affiliation meeting in the
schoolhouse on Sunday evening un-
der the direction of the leader,

M. S. as guests.
The McKillop group of Duff's
United Church met at the home of
Mrs. Stewart McCall Wednesday
evening with 13 members and one
guest present.
'Church services were resumed at
Duff's Ulxited Church on Sunday
morning. The floors have been
sanded and varnished and new car-
pets laid.
The many friends of Mr. David
Watson are sorry to know he is a
patient in Scott Memorial Hospital
suffering from painful injuries af-
ter an accident with a forage har-
vester last week.
Mr. Robert Young is visiting his
daughter; Mrs. Percy' Sheti.cer, De-
troit.
