Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of slipper satin with nylon tulle overskirt -which swept into a long train. A fingertip veil fell softly from a satin headdress, and -she carried a bouquet of Better Times roses and gypsophila. Miss Helen Sullivan, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and 'bridesmaids were Miss Claire Le - 'Sage, Tweed, and Miss Ruth Pear- son, London, sister of the groom. They were Owned alike in floor - length blue shot taffeta and carried ,baskets of Madame Butterfly rop- es. The flower girl, Diane Whit- more, wore nylon tulle over blue shot taffeta and carried a nosegay of sweet peas. Paul Pearson was his brother's best man, and Pat Sullivan, brother of the bride, and Jack Larkin, were ushers. A wedding dinner was held at the Zurich Hotel and a reception followed in the Community Centre. The bride's mother wore a dress of rose crepe and lace with white ac- cessories and corsage of Johanna Hill roses. The groom's mother chose navy crepe with white ac- cessories and pink Delight. rose cor- sage. • For the wedding trip to Mon- treal and the United States, the bride wore a sand -colored stole - suit with Benedictine accessories and corsage of pink Delight roses. Mr. and Mrs. Pearson plan to reside in Zurich. Bayfield Couple Mark 40th Anniversary With Friends and Family Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sturgeon, Bayfield, celebrated their 40th wed- ding anniversary at their home last week with all the members o'f their family and friends, with 36 Present for dinner. The rooms were decorated with pink and white peonies, pink and white streamers and bells The table, covered with a lace cloth, was centred with a two-tier anni- versary cake, pink lighted tapers, and roses. The bride. of 40 years is the for- mer Maude May Merner, and they were married in Alvinston, Ont., June 27, 1913, Mr, Sturgeon is a well known fisherman at )3ayfield, where they have resided since their niafriage.
