The manse in McKillop was the
setting for the wedding on Satur-
day, June 27, at 2 p.m., of Cather-
ine Mabel, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. George R. Campbell, and
Harry Nesbitt, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Blake Nesbitt, Listowel. Rev. H. E.
Livingstone conducted the cere-
mony in the presence of the im-
mediate friends.
The -bride chose a mist green suit
with white accessories and wore
an orchid. She was attended by
Mrs. Walter McClure, as matron of
honor, who wore a beige suit and
pink accessories, and Marjorie
Campbell, her sister, as junior
bridesmaid, who wore a mint
green nylon dress.
Mr. Murray Colquhoun, Mitchell,
was the groomsman.
Dinner for 50 guests was served
at Fairview, anter which a recep-
tion was held at the home of the
bride. Mrs. Campbell received in a
navy blue sheer dress with a cor-
sage of pink carnations, and Mrs.
Nesbitt wore mauve nylon Beth
white accessories.
Guests were present from Harris -
ton, Toronto, Listowel, Clinton, Mit-
chell, Bayfield and Walton. Fol-
lowing a trip to Northern Ontario,
Mr. and Mrs. Nesbitt will reside on
their farm in McKillop,

Rev. R. Keith•Love officiated at the
six o'clock service on Saturday,
June 20, in Trinity United Church.
Mr. Gordon Douglas at the organ
accompanied the soloist, Mr. John
Lindley, Burlington.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, chose a gown of frost
white French pointe d'esprit over
satin, featuring long sheath sleeves
and a slim bodice with a pleated
frill over the shoulder coming to a
point at the waist. The full gath-
ered skirt was overlayers of net,
with a wide pleated frill around
the tiny waist, and ended in a
chapel 'train. Her fingertip veil of
tulle illusion was caught in a juliet
cap of imported lace. The 'bride
carried' a wedding ring bouquet
bound in violet satin, with a clus-
ter of white baby gardenias, steph-
anotis aird ivy trails.
Attending 'her were Miss Donna
Wright, as maid of honor, and Miss-
es Jean Heagle, Mildred Shaw and
Mary Anderson. They were gown-
ed alike in frosted chartreuse taf-
feta gowns, with an off -the -shoul-
der effect on the taut bodice. The
full skirts of umbrella -pleats fell
over the crinoline underskirts. They
Carried identical wedding ring bou-
quests bound in violets with clus-
ters of violet carnations and ivy
tendril's, with headdresses. match-
ing their gowns and a cluster of the
same shattered flowers around the
back of their hair.
Mr. Fred Ross, Aldershot, was
best man, and the ushers were Mr.
Bradley Colbert, brother ' of the
bride, Gerald Fawcett, Duncan 'Hind
and Edward Blair.
A reception for the 200 guests
was held in the gardens at the
home of the groom's parents. Mrs.
Colbert received • in a gown of
moonstone taffeta, styled with
pleated scoop, neckline and full
skirt of soft pleats, ,and wore a
corsage of deep pink delight roses
shading to violet and matching ac-
cessories. Mrs Heagle wore a
gown of imported silk taffeta in
violet with a sweetheart neckline
and a full skirt, with accessories in
a• lighter matching tone and a bag
corsage of orchids.,
Leaving on a wedding trip to the
Atlantic seashore and New Eng-
land States, the bride wore a dusky
rose dress with fitted jacket and
powder blue accessories, with a
wristlet of blue gardenias. Mr. and
Mrs, Heagle will live in Burlington.

LATE RALPH STEPHENSON
Ralph Stephenson, formerly of
Stanley Township, passed away at
the home of his daughter and son-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David John-
ston, at La Riviere, Manitoba, June
21, in his 92nd year.
About April 1 he had gone West
with his daughter and her husband,
who had spent the winter with him
in Seaforth.
Born in Stanley in September,
1861, the was the eldest son of the
late John Stephenson and Ann
(Peck) Stephenson. He farmed
successfully on the Goshen Line,
then later on the Parr Line until
a few years -ago, when he retired
from the farm, He was married to
Margaret McClinchey in 1885. She
passed away in 1913. Later, In 191'7
he was married to Bella Fell, who
passed away in 1942. -
Surviving are three daughters
and one son, Mrs, Wes. Cockerline
(Emma), .Pilot Mound, Man.; Mrs.
David Johnston (Annie), La Riv-
ere, Man„ Mrs. J. Reid (Elva) Sea -
forth, and William R. Stephenson,
Hensall. Two daughters predeceas-
ed him, Mrs. W. Turner (Minerva)
and Mrs. S. Morrow (Florence). Al-
so surviving are 13' grandchildren
and a number of great-grandchil-
dren. -
Mr. Stephenson was well known
and highly respected. He took an
active interest in municipal and
community affairs and gave loyal
and faithful support to the work of
the church. -:He was a member of
the Methodist Church, Varna, for
many years, and later of the Unit-
ed Church, where he held the of-
fice of Elder.
On arrival from the West, .the
remains' rested at the Bonthron
Funeral Home, Hensall, where the
funeral service was held on Friday,
June 26, conducted by Rev. J. R.
Pitt, Varna, and Rev. J. W. Rog-
•ers, Hensall. Interment was in the
family plot, Bayfield cemetery,
The pallbearers were grandsons:
Ivan Stephenson, Ralph Stephen-
son, Elmer Turner, Ralph Turner,
Russell Consitt and Ken Reid. The
flowerbearers were: Mark Drys-
dale, A'b. Smale, John A. Arm-
strong, William Armstrong, Clar-
ence -Stephenson, Elmore Stephen-
son, Frank McClinchey, Alex Wylie,
George Reid and George Johnston.
