One the first acts of the councillors, was to license coun- ty sanitation inspectors with the authority to inspect installations of plumbing and sewers. County Council referred to ex- ecutive committee a recommenda- tion by the board that copies of a standard by-law authorizing in- spectors to collect inspection fees, allowed for in the provincial act, be forwarded to each municipality. Graves Decorated Sunday By Local Lodge Members Last Sunday, afternoon 13 mem- bers of Edelweiss Rebekah Lodge and about 26 members of the I,Q, O.F., held a memorial service at Maitlandbank cemetery in honor of their dead. There were 11 Rebekah graves decorated! and 42' Oddfel- lows' graves decorated by the mem- bers. Victor Lee, W. J. Thompson Mrs. Ilan Dorrance and Miss Mae Smith, Noble Grand, took part in the service held in the open, On each grave was planted a potted plant. New Windows Unveiled In Sanctuary Sunday At Carmel Church A large congregation was pres- ent Sunday morning to witness the dedication of three new windows in Carmel Church sanctuary, Hensall. The windows are leaded glass, fea- turing painted circular Biblical emblems in the centre with venti- lator base. One window was the gift of Mr. and `Mrs. Stewart Bell, Two were memorials, one in memory of' Mr, W. G. Bell and two members of his .family, F/O, Alvin Be11 and Miss Rita Bell, the other in mem- ory of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mac- Arthur. The memorials were don- ated by members of the families. Following the unveiling, Mr. Sydney MacArthur, on behalf of the donors, offered the windows to the minister, Rev, J. B. Fox, who accepted and .dedicated them to the glory of God. •Mrs. C._ Kennedy sang the solo, "Bless This House:"• The installation of the new win- dows completes the number of decorated windows in the church sanctuary. M.P. to Present Wings At Clinton Graduation Air Radio Officer Course 38 is scheduled to graduate and receive their Air Radio Officer wings at a wings parade ceremony at R.C.A.F. Station, Clinton, on Friday, June 19. These graduates have under- gone 36 weeks of training at No. 1 Radio Officer School. The presentation will be made by'; Andrew Y. McLean, M.P. for Hur- on -Perth. Among those scheduled to gradu- ate are' Flight Cadets from both eastern and western Canada.
