Hogg, is the oldest son of Mr.
Robert Hogg, St. Catharines, and
the late Mrs. Hogg.
The bride wore an orchid suit
with brilliants adorning tire pock-
ets and pink -and black accessories,
and a corsage of pink:roses. The
bride's attendant, Mrs. D. J. Bright-
rall, Seaforth, sister of the groom,
wore a beige suit with brown ac•
cessories and a corsage of yellow
roses.
The best man was Mr. D. J.
Brightrall, Seaforth.
After the wedding dinner at Al-
len's in London, the happy couple
left for a 'trip through Eastern On-
tario'. On.•taheir return they will re-
side in Toronto, where the groom
is stationed' with the R.C.A.F.

LATE JAMES H. WRIGHT
James H. Wright, 75, formerly of
Seeforth°and Mitchell, died last
week in Windsor, where he had re-
sided for several years. His wife
was the former Teresa Troyer.
Mr. Wright was born in Bruce
field, a, son of the late Mr. and
Mrs, Charles Wright, and he spent
most of his life as a service station
operator in Seaforth and. Mitchell.
Surviving besides this wife are
three daughters: Mrs. P. Vanstone,
Windsor; Mrs. A. D. Cook, Wazer-
loo; Mrs. William Rodgers, Mit-
chell, and three sons, Emerson,
Stratford; Ross and Harry, Mit-
chell. Also surviving are two- broth-
ers, John Wright, Brucefield; Wm,
A. Wright, Seaforth, and two sis-
ters, Mrs. John Riley, Brussels, and
Mrs. William Hill, Brucefield. He

In the "nineties" he taught school
for several years in the Winthrop
S-chool. Following a course in the
Toronto Bible Training School, he,
With a colleague, was dispatched to
British East Africa to establish a
mission, not far from •Iltit. Xenia. It
was known as the Blantyre Mis-
sion, after David Livingstone's
birthplace.
On the completion of this work
he returned to Canada and, after a
refresher course in the London
Normal School, resumed teaching
in Alberta College, South Edmon-
ton.
• After severing connection with
that institution he became owner
and .proprietor'of the Buen & Vista
Nurseries, along the North Sas-
katChewan River, Edmonton. Later,
•Mr. Lawrence retired. for several
years in San Diego, although at the
time of his passing, in the Royal
Columbia 'Hospital, New Westmin-
ster B.C., he had been residing in
White Rock, 35 miles noufh of Van-
couver, B.C. '
In. indifferent health for several'
years, he had recently entered his
81st year. He is' survived by this
wife, the former Elizabeth Bowles,
Forest, Ont; also three sisters,
Mrs. Lorne Webster; Mies Annie C.
Lawrence and; Miss 'Pearl Lawr-
ence, all of Seaforth, and one
brother, Fred 3. Lawrence, present-
ly retired in Seaforth,

Peter J. Stock, R.R. 2, Gadshill, and
the late Mrs, Stock, to Mr. Francis
Charles Kistner, son of Mr, and

Hullett Council Notes .
Warble -MY Campaign
Near Completion
Hullett Township Council, meet-
ing in Londesboro Monday night,
voted the Clinton Spring Fair its
annual gram of 850. •
According to township clerk Geo.
Cowan, the warble fly spray cam-
paign will be completed this week,
with an estimated 6,700 head of
cattle treated on the first spray-
ing. Council will again donate a
shield, for the Hullett Township
Music Festival.

Walton CGIT Members
Hold Meeting in Church
. The May meeting of the Walton
C.G.I.T. was held in the basement
of the church recently with Bar-
bara Patterson presiding.
The scripture was read by Aud-
rey Hackwell and a poem was read
by Faye Love. The Purpose was
repeated and the minutes were
read and -adopted by Doris John-
ston.
Members decided to hold all
meetings in the church. The treas-
urer's report was read and approv-
ed. Doreen 1VicCreath gave an in-
teresting talk from the study book.

Mrs. W. A. Wright presided in
the absence of the president, Mrs.
H. E. Smith, at the Ladies' Aid of
First Presbyterian Church Tuesday
afternoon. The. meeting was in
charge of Mrs. Wilfred Coleraan'a
group.
Mrs, Coleman opened the meet-
ing with a poem, "Beautiful Month
of May," written by the late Miss
H. I. Graham. The secretary's and'
treasurer's reports were read and
the business period held.
Mrs. Robt. McMillan and Mrs. W.
E. Butt sang a duet, "Listen and
Wait For the Master." They were
accompanied by Mrs. M. R. Ren-
nie.
Speaker for the afternoon was
Rev: J. W. A. Stinson, of Northside
United Church, who spoke on "The
Three Points of Fellowship." Lunch
was served with Miss Jean Scbtt
as convener.
