Motorist Escapes Injury A London man escaped injury when his car swerved off the road, roiled down an embankment . and landed in five feet of water in the Crediton River Sunday night. Roy Smith, 31, 499 Central Ave., Lon- don, managed to crawl from his aketraar-ami Swim -to -shore af ter the accident. He •said he had been blinded by the lights of an oncoming car while driving east on the Crediton Road. He lost control of the auto and it plunged down the 19 -foot embankment. ' P.C.
