Dr. G. Stanley Russell officiated' at
the marriage of Esme Helen, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hillen
Kerr, to Mr. Ian Gardner Walker,
son of Mr. and' Mrs. William G.
Walker, of Saskatoon, Sask. Miss
Kerr is a granddaughter of Mrs.
James Kerr, Seaforth. Mr. Kerr
gave his daughter in marriage, and
she wore a quaint 'bouffant gown
of white organdie over taffeta. The
vertical tucked' back -buttoned bod-
ice, with three-quarter kimono
sleeves, was finished with a tiny
rose collar, and the billowing skirt,
tucked horizontally, fell from a
slightly lowered waistline. The
bride carried a cascade of Butter-
fly roses and white carnations with
trailing English 'ivy. Miss Elibabeth
Kerr, maid of honor, Miss; Allison
Mackie and Miss 'Mary- Stewart,
bridesmaids, were gowned alike in
long dresses of mist . green nylon
net over taffeta, the shirred fitted
bodices were topped by stoke drapes
which formed the sleeves. An wore
matching shell -shaped hats turned
high in the back and trimmed with
pastel flowers, and carried colonial
bouquets in pastel steadies. Mr. ,John
Bryce was groomsman, and the
ushers were Messrs.. Ian Kerr,
Louis Bodnar, Charles Lennox and
Woodrow Feltham. After the recep-
tion at the Ryerson Institute of
Technology, Mr. and Mrs. Walker
lett on a wedding trip, and will
live at 117, Walmer Rd.. Toronto,
on their return.

a very active member of 'St. John's
United Church, where be had been
a member of the board of manag-
ers, as well as' clerk of the session,
and treasurer of the church, He
was predeceased by his wife, the
former Helen V. McNab, of Sea -
forth, on Aug. 3, 1940, and up until
the time of his illness two years
ago had resided in Brockville, He
is survived by two daughters, 'Mrs.

Death of Robert, G. Wright.—
Robert Gilbert Wright, a highly re-
spected resident of Seaforth, pass-
ed away in Scott Memorial Hospi-
tal on Wednesday following a maj-
or operation. Born in Mtentiop the
son of the late M1•, and Mrs. Chas.
Wright, he was in his 73rd year.
Mr. Wright was a well-known farm-
er on the 3rd concession of Huliett
and was noted for the fine horses
he kept, having taken many prizes
at the county fairs. He retired to
Seaforth over five years ago. In
1905 he was' marries) to Jemima
Morrow, who passed away in 1950,
but he is survived by a family of
three daughters, (Etta) 'Mrs. E.
Eyre, Sarnia; (Agnes) Mrs. Chas.
Eyre, Tuckersmith; (Mabel) . Mrs.
Robert McMichael, McKillop; and
three sons, Fergus, of Bralnbton;
Charles, of Galt, and! Oliver on the

be in Maitlandbank cemetery.
Death of John epper.—A former
resident of this einity, in the per-
son of John Pepper, of Deloraine,
Man., who was injured in an auto-
mobile accident on May 9, passed
away the following day, He has a
number of relatives in this vicin-
ity who will regret to learn of his
death. Interment was in Deloraine,
Man.
